Haydos Posted 4 August 2014 Posted 4 August 2014 Has anyone been? Best value for money tickets? How about the views/standing area?
Haydos Posted 4 August 2014 Author Posted 4 August 2014 Also, what's the best way of going about getting tickets?
C-man Posted 4 August 2014 Posted 4 August 2014 Has anyone been? Best value for money tickets? How about the views/standing area? Been to the Allianz twice in Dortmund away ends. Once vs Bayern in the Cup QF when Robben scored a great goal to win it for them and then again last season vs 1860. Can't remember a great deal from either really but it's an absolutely unreal stadium and a brilliant atmosphere. Munich as a city is incredible - absolutely love it and definitely wouldn't mind living there. Unfortunately the only realistic way of getting a ticket there is on Viagogo and paying through the nose for it. Bayern have the second most members worldwide (after Benfica) and as a result have effectively sold out every home game before the season starts. If you'd like to visit the Allianz without paying too much, do it when 1860 play - perhaps a 'derby' vs 1. FC Nürnberg or when a bigger club like St. Pauli, Fortuna Düsseldorf or Kaiserslautern rock up. I fancy them to do OK this season so you might get a game that means a lot. Either that or you could jib in a Hoffenheim away end...
Durnerz Posted 4 August 2014 Posted 4 August 2014 Its a pain in the arse, they have so many members and the tickets go with a click of the finger regardless of opponent.Best to go to a TSV Munich game (who play at same stadium) or take in some of the other clubs in Bavaria, we did Greuther furth and Augsburg but theres also Ingolstadt and FC Nuremburg who are worth a watch.

Any idea how you'd go about getting in the away end?

Stuttgart have really ****ed me off by playing away the weekend I am there, that could have been awesome.

Any idea how you'd go about getting in the away end? For Bayern games it is in the middle and upper tiers of the North West (i.e. to the left hand side as you look at it on TV) corner. For 1860 games it's in the South West corner, lower and middle tiers. I'd say that all Bundesliga teams would sell out their away end there to their members, with the exception of Hoffenheim. Keep checking their website for selling details for away tickets (use Google Translate where necessary) and I'm hopeful you'd be able to get tickets online.
Cat Burger Posted 4 August 2014 Posted 4 August 2014 I bought one through viagogo for a league game about 5 years ago. It was against Cottbus so not a high demand. I think the tickets were about 25 euros each. Great day.
Voll Blau Posted 4 August 2014 Posted 4 August 2014 An 1860 Munich game would be worth going to. Been in their away end before, decent fans. Also been to one of their games at the Allianz with Bochum in the away end, and the home end looked pretty bouncing. Plus they have Gabor Kiraly in goal for them so if you like keepers in trackie bottoms you're quids in.
21st Century Fox Posted 4 August 2014 Posted 4 August 2014 I've used viagogo to buy tickets for matches abroad. If you know far enough in advance and can be bothered to keep an eye on what goes up everyday you can sometimes get a decent ticket. I've paid below face value and well above for a few Ligue 1 games. Incidentally I'm going to see Ajax next weekend and that was pricey.
AndWhat? Posted 4 August 2014 Posted 4 August 2014 Watched them win the league at the Allianz back in 2010 and it only cost me 12 Euro! Our Bochum mates sorted us tickets. Best bet I'd say is to pick a smaller team in the Bundesliga and message them asking them for away end tickets at the Allianz.

Perfect to get into sections that are usually all season tickets.

Perfect to get into sections that are usually all season tickets. Yeah I've been in some good sections at Parc des Princes with Viagogo. Also saw Bayern at Mainz in the Telekom/Liga/Whateveritwascalledthen cup a few years ago after getting some tickets through a barman we befriended in Frankfurt. It was really disorientating watching a 60 minute match though.
Haydos Posted 5 August 2014 Author Posted 5 August 2014 Best bet I'd say is to pick a smaller team in the Bundesliga and message them asking them for away end tickets at the Allianz. That might be a decent shout. £75.00 is the cheapest on viagogo at the moment
Haydos Posted 5 August 2014 Author Posted 5 August 2014 Stuttgart tickets are usually about £20 as well, balls.
broughtonblue Posted 5 August 2014 Posted 5 August 2014 Wait for the werder Brennan game this weekend, start chatting to their fans, start an alliance, they will sort it!
Walker Posted 6 August 2014 Posted 6 August 2014 Going Schalke vs Hertha on 18 th October. Viagogo job or has anyone got a cheaper / better way of getting tickets?
CosbehFox Posted 7 August 2014 Posted 7 August 2014 Going Schalke vs Hertha on 18 th October. Viagogo job or has anyone got a cheaper / better way of getting tickets? Viagogo pretty much the only way to get a Schalke ticket for a non member. You might have a chance in the away end.
Walker Posted 7 October 2014 Posted 7 October 2014 Just got a few tickets for Hamburg vs Werder in the post. Bought from viagogo for the standing section behind the goal. Bit paranoid they're fake though as there doesn't appear to be a row number on them and I've just found out you can't buy individual match tickets as that end is season ticket only! Can anyone who may have been there put my mind at ease??
MC Prussian Posted 7 October 2014 Posted 7 October 2014 I work with a Bayern Munich season ticket holder. Oops, shouldn't have mentioned that. EDIT: I can always ask...

Can anyone who may have been there put my mind at ease?? The main standing section at Hamburg isn't safe standing, it's a proper terrace so you will just have a block number on the ticket. Season tickets who can't go to games often sell in viagogo and then just send out the ticket. Have used viagogo before and it's fine, sometimes the only way of getting into the standing section. Enjoy!
fuchsntf Posted 14 October 2014 Posted 14 October 2014 Also, what's the best way of going about getting tickets? Besides city for 53 yrs, also for 45 yrs I have been a Dortmund fan. Both Bayern and Dortmund have great stadiums, and they rock every home game. Dortmund more so, the Yellow Wall, (Gelbewand Suedtribune) 25,000 standing fans , the most in Northern Europe. Day tickets in both stadiums, difficult, near on impossible on big games, that said, try online 1st, it could show 'Ausverkauft'.. >sold-out.< Still worth trying to call the office, odd day tickets not a rarity. Bayern..Www.tickets.fcBayern.de or www.alliance-arena.de/de/service/sitzplaene Dortmund...WWW.bvb.de/tickets/sitzplan. sometimes other online services....eventim.de or ticketonline.de
VLC86 Posted 14 October 2014 Posted 14 October 2014 Cheers mate, do these look legit in your opinion? Hmmm the old ' do you want to buy an invisible ticket' hustle. Unlucky mate
