They'll probably hate us for rejecting them and be more inclined to involve themselves in an attack in future. Life behind bars is surely the safer option. You can't lock them up without evidence that they have committed a crime. As it stands they're coming back here as free as birds, albeit no doubt with the secret agents following them around and probably trying to recruit them.

The ones featured were ice cream salesmen and the elder had been in Britain for 30 years. I wonder if they let them go when Italy changed sides?

These guys are British Pakistani or British Arab, what business have they got in Syria. It's one of the great tragedies of the last 200 years and we've just sat back and let it happen.

You can't be a member of the council of Europe and have capital punishment, UK formally removed all capital offenses sometime in the 90s if I remember correctly.

We have a society whereby you aren't allowed to challenge other people's beliefs unless they fit into a very narrow range of what is deemed unacceptable.
