65RosesFox Posted 21 September 2014 Posted 21 September 2014 ...any sort of result at the KP Stadium. Not sure if this has been posted anywhere else but I think it deserves its own thread. Seven of Utd's starting XI and three of their subs cost more than our Starting XI combined. Our team may not have cost a lot, but they're worth a hell of a lot more now, and their togetherness, work ethic and spirit is priceless.

I didn't realise Konchesky cost that much. Hamer was for free as well right? To think, Manchester will no doubt spend even more on new centre-backs in January. Crazy.

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 21 September 2014 Posted 21 September 2014 Danny Drinkwater for less than a milly. Christ.
Adster Posted 21 September 2014 Posted 21 September 2014 Danny Drinkwater for less than a milly. Christ. I wouldn't sell him for £20m at the moment.
Jimothy Posted 21 September 2014 Posted 21 September 2014 Our whole match day squad cost less than the individual amounts paid for De Gea, Herrea, Di Maria, Van Persie, Rooney, Mata, Shaw and Valencia. That's not to mention the loan fee for Falcao isn't far off what we paid for Ulloa. Also there are players missing from their squad that would cost more than our whole squad, Carrick, Young spring to mind.
Larry_LCFC Posted 21 September 2014 Posted 21 September 2014 In all seriousness, if I had the choice is of Vardy or Rooney in our starting eleven, I would pick Vardy all week long. His pace is terrifying, his finish is clinical and his never say die attitude is superb. What more could you ask? Big money = big ego = big problems.
iamafox Posted 21 September 2014 Posted 21 September 2014 £286.2m was the value of Utd's matchday squad. Hilarious.
blentz40 Posted 21 September 2014 Posted 21 September 2014 How much was the KP stadium compared to uniteds line up???
urban.spaceman Posted 23 September 2014 Posted 23 September 2014 How much was the KP stadium compared to uniteds line up???Wasn't it around £30-35m? I'm not sure how much we ended up paying as we went into administration almost immediately after moving in. We were quite lucky to do so that early if you think about it. I think the Thais bought it for £17m last season. Bit murky. So in reality it cost somewhere between a Rooney or just over half a Di Maria. Tell you what, There's an immense sense of justice when you're deservedly thrashing a team whose 5 biggest stars are each being paid annually more than you paid for your entire squad. Man Utd on Sunday represent everything that is wrong with football at the minute while our squad (especially Jamie Vardy) exuded everything that is right.
