sylofox Posted 25 September 2014 Posted 25 September 2014 The saddest aspect being he isn't around to see this team perform. The thought of that brings a tear. Lets just hope they have sky where he is now.
sylofox Posted 25 September 2014 Posted 25 September 2014 Hume was an average championship player at best, so he was shit. For a player that gave 100% for us would hate to see what you say about some. Shite he was far from.
Stadt Posted 25 September 2014 Posted 25 September 2014 If you run a lot it doesn't mean you're not shit. 33 goals in 122 games is pretty poor for a striker
st albans fox Posted 25 September 2014 Posted 25 September 2014 The thought of that brings a tear. Lets just hope they have sky where he is now. Bound to have sky in heaven ! either that or there will be something on the cloud!
Callabinho Posted 25 September 2014 Posted 25 September 2014 There is no one directly in my opinion, he is a bit like Dickov on steroids. On his day he could have any defenders pants down.
NewquayFox Posted 25 September 2014 Author Posted 25 September 2014 Met Weller once Sylo, proper Gent and would be worth as much as Ronaldo nowdays.... And i can't think of a player around like Vardy either Callabinho.....
ScouseFox Posted 25 September 2014 Posted 25 September 2014 crikey remember when iain hume was without doubt by far and away our best player
fuchsntf Posted 25 September 2014 Posted 25 September 2014 WTF would he be worth now aged 25/27? My hero and I loved Lineker. The only player I have seen that could rip a player a new one see the perfect pass and know when to let it go. Oh and a sense of humour in his game sadly missing now from the players and the fans. The one player from my past I would so love to see now as a 25'27 year old. Step forward Mr Keith Weller. Beginning of the year in Jan, I bumped into some londoners, older Chelsea and Spurs fans, taking a short break. One of the major topics was Keith Weller...why did Sexton let him go, admitting many years later his worse ever descision. Even agreeing he should have seen at least 50 caps. But an interesting debate that suprised me, was that to a man, all having the opinion, probably Weller should have been rated, in the George Best catagory.I had always carried the belief that he was has good as Best, it was great to listen to others that had the same views on Keith. Those were also the days when Chelsea and City fans liked and appreciated each other.
NewquayFox Posted 26 September 2014 Author Posted 26 September 2014 Rumour at the time was that Weller was knocking off a string of women including players wives, a certain Ron 'chopper' Harris found out one of them was his, good lad.....
fuchsntf Posted 26 September 2014 Posted 26 September 2014 Rumour at the time was that Weller was knocking off a string of women including players wives, a certain Ron 'chopper' Harris found out one of them was his, good lad.....That type of yob reporting was rife at the time, including when Bloomfield got his lads together.Much was nonsense, and down right lies, I was also a witness of those lies, which I reported the rotten peice of sh $ t.
fuchsntf Posted 26 September 2014 Posted 26 September 2014 Totally different players to Vardy, but for sheer pace, the fastest players on our books were John Farrington, James Vaughan, and Joachim, recorded just over 11 sec for 100 meters. Other fans might remember a couple more, in city colours.
st albans fox Posted 26 September 2014 Posted 26 September 2014 Most of Bloomfields squad were quicker at Grannys than they were at filbert street !
Matt Posted 26 September 2014 Posted 26 September 2014 No he wasn't. Not suggesting he was anywhere near Vardy's level. But he wasn't shite Best of a bad bunch tbf.
