GingerrrFox Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 We played well against a team that finished 2nd last season and regularly finish in the Top 6 in Premiership football. Piss off with your how long do we give him bollocks.
Babylon Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 The Pearsonites can throw all the statistics they like I will NOT be baffled. At the end of the day the current plight has absolutely nothing at all to do with a) what he achieved in League 1, b) what he achieved in the Championship but ALL to do with this Premiership campaign and what can't speak simply can't lie. 2 wins and 4 draws and ZERO wins in 9 is clearly relegation form, end of!! The point is Stringerite, whilst you might want to ignore the stats. They all point to him actually getting things right in the end. Our form at the end of the season before last was relegation form, people wanted him gone because "it's all about results". But he didn't go, he stayed and we won the league breaking every record going just about. Patience can be a virtue.
Clever Fox Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 The important point is that he learns from his mistakes. Which should mean we'll be all the better for it as we go forward and upwards. It's a learning curve for him and the players. How quickly they learn will determine where we finish this season.
Babylon Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Having said that... if he doesn't bring in a set piece coach I think he should be sacked immediately. How are we still just floating the ball in to nobody!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Voll Blau Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Fvck it, I'll happily let him take us down to the Conference if only to spite the utter fvcking spackmasters who have always had a massive chip on their shoulder against him in spite of everything he's achieved at a club which has already betrayed him once before.
Babylon Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 fvcking spackmasters That's politically incorrect, they prefer "Stringerites".
Fox Ulike Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Fvck it, I'll happily let him take us down to the Conference if only to spite the utter fvcking spackmasters who have always had a massive chip on their shoulder against him in spite of everything he's achieved at a club which has already betrayed him once before. Genius! I’d actually love to be on Foxestalk if Pearson took us to the bottom of League Two saying “Just give him time”… and “keep the faith he won League One remember?” We’d give all the spackmasters aneurisms and finally be rid of them! Edit: Apologies, I mean "Stringerites", not "spackmasters". Sincere apologies to any dickhead who might have taken offence.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Did you see last nites game. without the Wes sending off it could have been different. And looking at it I would say watch the last 10 mins again (or for the first time) the one thing they did not lack last night was motivation. They were going for it right till the last kick they never gave up. Un motivated players would have given up ours did not infact we got better the longer it went on. Hmm. They may be motivated, buddy, but we still can't win. . The Villa game is really another six pointer, so let's hope we can turn it round. If we lose that one, Pearson's job will be unsafe.
MHC Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 will it take before all the pearsonites agree a change is needed? They are his players, his tactics (loose description) and his style of play. His job is to bring in quality, motivate players, get the best out of them, put tactics in place and get results. He is doing none of the above at the minute and I just wanted to know how long it is before you lose patience? Well, a lot of these people keep saying give him the season and if we aren't doing so well by next Christmas in the Championship get rid of him. So there's your answer. Of course the definition of us not doing so well to these people will probably be 22nd or lower judging by their ambition or whatever you call it because it's not really ambition. Ambitious fans say our current predicament is not good enough. As a matter of fact any lower then 17th must be considered failure.

Guest Col city fan Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Villa..he'll be gone if we lose I suspect.
filbertway Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Genuinely interested to see if lessons have been learned and we go for some real quality in January, for that reason till the end of the season, if you're giving him January to buy new players, you've got to stick with it till the end of the season. I have faith that they have realised we're lacking in quality and they will rectify it.
chapero82 Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 i bet some of the ones that are moaning are the ones that wanted MON out! and did we really need a new thread?
pen_3 Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 It's very sad how some of you wallow in the past.

To be fair, 17 away terraces in one season does sound great.
oxfordfox Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Villa..he'll be gone if we lose I suspect. You would think so. The statistics of Pearson's previous record (in lower leagues) are not relevant here. Yes he did a great job previously. Now he is out of his depth. The statistics the owners will be looking at are how likely it is we stay up. Not many teams bottom at end November manage to survive unless they do something different. We have moved one game beyond that and lost it. Bottom at Xmas means a 95% probability (approx) that we would be relegated. It would be surprisning if the Thais leave it that long...
