'Stringer Out' nonsense

That's a belief, not an opinion. You can have an opinion on which fruit your prefer but you can't have an opinion on whether the theory of evolution is true or not, it either is or it isn't and what one person thinks about it doesn't change that at all.

I think the truth in this case is that Stringer cares a lot more about himself than the club. His actions have shown he's happy to see the Leicester City put under pressure in order to create a story.

That's the nail on the head right there.

He may well be a Leicester fan but he's far more in love with himself and his career than he'll ever be with the football. He seemed happy to bowl along with the shit served up under Sven as he got a nice sexy quote from him but is prepared to apply extra pressure to a manager who has performed impeccably since arriving here because he doesn't answer the questions the way he likes.

Who actually knows the man? I don't personally but he doesn't come across as all these things to me...presumably his DD appearance goes before him in everything he does?

If you reported on sport for a living, what questions would YOU ask a manager who's bottom of the table with just 2 points from 9 games and swearing at the club's fans?

"Turned out nice again heh Nige  ?"

Jeeez...might be wrong on this one but this is a results business is it not? Would you take relegation under NP with a happy camp, or survival under a managerial tyrant who gets things done?

Phone a friend if you like.

What is more likely to get results - a camp where everyone is playing for each other and get along well, or a divided team? I'll give you a clue, Abe Lincoln summarised it many a year ago (A House divided amongst itself will not stand).

But there's ways of getting the information you want without blatantly just doing it to stoke your own media profile! And I'm willing to bet if he wanted to progress in broadcasting then the nationals would want someone to ask difficult questions but not alienate the people he's trying to get that information from. As a commentator Stringer is mostly harmless and is a bit marmite clearly for some people, but this wannabe investigative/tabloid journalist shit is ****ing tiring

2 points from 9 games? The fact you would even say that shows just how negative you are looking at things, we've got 10 points from 14 games, to just deliberately pick the point where a bad run started to emphasis a point clearly shows an agenda.

I'd be asking questions on how he thought we performed, I'd be asking if he believes this is now his strongest team given he has stuck with it for a couple of games, I'd be asking him if he is prepared to go with what we have or whether he envisages going into the transfer market in Jan.

I wouldn't be asking about confrontations with supporters ten mins after a game as I would want to gather all the facts I could about it before discussing things that aren't to do with football. If you do that you can make yourself look very silly as Stringer now has this week and seems to turned the vast majority of supporters against himself.

Why are people so against the idea that Stringer cares more about himself than the Club? Dont we all? He's not employed by the club he's employed by the BBC. Its not like he doesnt go flying over the top when we do well so it cant be of any great suprise when he lays it on thick when things aren't going so well.

The way Pearson is handling the media is fuelling the fire. His reaction to Stringers questions and arguing with the crowd is doing nothing except turning more fans against him which in turn will create a more negative atmosphere in the stadium.

I dont like Redknapp or Dyche at all but they were asked the same questions Pearson has been asked and they didnt react with any hostility whatsoever. They showed humility and realism which kept the fans onside. Handling the media isnt by any means the most important part of management but at this level, it is a part of it and Pearsons mis-handling of it is having a direct effect on the crowd and that atmosphere will spill onto the pitch.

Before anyone says 'oh so lets just get Holloway back then' or something equally as narrow minded, thats not what i'm saying. Just that Nigel isnt helping himself whatsoever.

I've listened to Stringers and Jason Bournes intervews with Nigel in the last few weeks and they rarely ask anything you wouldnt expect them to ask in this situation.

Is that not similar to Nigel Pearson then? Nigel has a family, a career, a reputation - just the same as Stringer does. Those attacking Stringers job, are no better, or worse than those calling for Pearson's head IMO.

Stringer appears to have lost this "balance" that he once had. One other poster proposed that Stringer simply just rewords his questions. But I know why they do it. RL have got to compete with Sky, BTSports, ESPN and all of the written press. They aren't important anymore, not as much as they were anyways. So Stringer needs a story, he needs to be controversial otherwise - nobody would even consider ringing in on the Monday night moan ins - and it's a "results/ratings" business.

That in itself questions Stringer's motives. If he's a Leicester fan, he isn't showing it. If he's being "impartial" I fail to see how suggesting Pearson's career is over is an "impartial" point of view. Radio Leicester were all over Leicester when we won the league, laughing and joking with Pearson, special Nigel Pearson interviews after the promotion party.

It's a massively different picture now, the whole club is.

Great point Matty...

Of course this is about Pearson's career! If Stringer gives it, he must take it also.

I'd challenge that, but no one knows the real 'in/out' figures - depends on what you choose to read or believe...forum polls are just ridiculous and should be edited out IMO.

As Pearson said, "the board will do what's best for the club". I doubt forum power will change things - but the national media can damage their brand and they know that. Press will love NP's latest negative comments - sensationalism sells, but it ain't good for the club for sure.

polls are ridiculous ?  most ridiculous comment I have seen on this thread and a complete giveaway...to your lack of argument

hang on maybe you are right ...... next general election we should decide by the most deranged forum posts, judges could be lunatics picked randomly from extremist groups far better way than counting votes from a significant and representative group of individuals ... what as I thinking

Is there a boot room tonight? Thinks it called the boot room, I stopped listening to the phone in and boot room a while ago, could be interesting tonight. A chance for Stringer to apologise and bury the hatchet whilst he still has half a chance.

Well he keeps blocking anyone who sends him negative message.... doesn't like it up him. lol

Ha! Do you think we could get the club to play the clip of him getting fired on The Apprentice on the big screens at the next home game?

I noticed this afternoon that a 'Stringer Out' account has popped up on Twitter.

There has also been a lot of flack directed at Stringer flying around on here.

My message to whoever is behind this Twitter account is to grow up, shut up and f uck off.

Whoever is behind this Twitter account needs to pipe down and grow up.

Yeah. Well Said. Freedom of speech is terribly over rated. I mean..... how people can possibly think differently to me is quite frankly cringeworthy.
