AspectFox Posted 11 January 2015 Author Posted 11 January 2015 Why are you restricting purpleronnie's freedom of speech? Expected better from you. Not at all, I don't have the ability to restrict anyone on here, for I am not a Moderator. I was just suggesting he didn't need to respond, he wasn't asked to but as he felt compelled to, I'd kind of hoped for more from him to be honest.
Rincewind Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 I hope it's not me, I have no idea what you're talking about. I doubt that you have the same views as the killers. In fact I doubt anyone that uses FT does otherwise any authoritative body looking in would pounce and arrest them.
stix Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 Wasn't it the thread slagging off the residents in SK1?
AspectFox Posted 11 January 2015 Author Posted 11 January 2015 I hope it's not me, I have no idea what you're talking about. Webbo. I have no reason to believe you are behind the act of Tyranny that occurred earlier. Wasn't it the thread slagging off the residents in SK1? The thread was based around my experiences in there, yes.
Webbo Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 I doubt that you have the same views as the killers. In fact I doubt anyone that uses FT does otherwise any authoritative body looking in would pounce and arrest them. What killers? Wtf is this thread about?
The Blue Moon 2 Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 I have had the same problem and had to re-sign up for the same reason. I didn't break ANY forum rules, but a moderator (Bert) suspended my profile because I pointed out that one of his pieces of 'inside knowledge' had been proven to be 'bullshit'. Unlike Charlie Hebdo, I will not be silenced! I will simply keep re-signing up under different email addresses and IP addresses until someone can explain to me any forum rules I've broken. If they can, I'll hold my hands up and accept suspension. The trouble with the left wing is, they don't want to hear anyone elses POV.

Rincewind Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 What killers? Wtf is this thread about? Sorry he mentioned the Paris thing so I assumed it was connected to that not football.
ScouseFox Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 haha nice I asked for the blue moon to get banned when I was tipsy last night and he did. power to the people.
The Doctor Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 You realise that freedom of speech only means the government can't silence you for your opinions, and even that comes with caveats. Foxestalk is a private platform and the owner/mods can remove whatever the hell they like - if you don't like it, then you're under no obligation to stay...
The Blue Moon 2 Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 haha nice I asked for the blue moon to get banned when I was tipsy last night and he did. power to the people. And that worked out well didn't it?
AspectFox Posted 11 January 2015 Author Posted 11 January 2015 haha nice I asked for the blue moon to get banned when I was tipsy last night and he did. power to the people. Why?. Did he type something you didn't share his view on? Slightly perturbing, if the reason for being banned is become someone asked for it to happen!
foxfanazer Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 haven't we all rincey. one of my fav genres tbh.

Foxestalk, whilst being a privately operated concern, is public. To post comment you need to sign up, to read you don't. A Forum can only be described as such if it invites, opinions and views from more than standpoint, to encourage debate etc. Without that it simply becomes a mouthpiece for the common view.
Rincewind Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 This is one reason I rarely go in the football section. I do not want to see this kind of BS to overspill into GC. There is enough here already.
AspectFox Posted 11 January 2015 Author Posted 11 January 2015 This is one reason I rarely go in the football section. I do not want to see the BS to overspill into GC. Oh, okay. Kind of my point really isn't it. People don't like to see things, so they disappear!

A Forum can only be described as such if it invites, opinions and views from more than standpoint, to encourage debate etc. Without that it simply becomes a mouthpiece for the common view. It's a private entity, in that it's not publicly owned. It is the equivalent of someone's shop: the owner and his employees are under no obligation to stock certain items (give a platform for certain views) and they have the right to refuse service (remove comments/ban users) as they see fit. Don't like it, the log out button is just there, and the button to close the browser is there as well.

I don't know what your thread contained because I didn't read it , but if it libelled anyone then the owner could be sued. If it offended anyone then maybe somebody complained, sometimes it's easier just to delete. Maybe it was just a crap thread. It's only the internet. Has your life suffered because your thread was removed? Is it really that important?
ScouseFox Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 Why?. Did he type something you didn't share his view on? yeah basically
AspectFox Posted 11 January 2015 Author Posted 11 January 2015 One day, pictures from the Internet will take the place of text! We will all be going about our daily work life with a thousand jpegs in our bags just to communicate!
ScouseFox Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 And that worked out well didn't it? well yeah it did lols
