Captain... Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 How was he at coming for crosses and dominating his box?
Countesthorpe Fox 1884 Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 How was he at coming for crosses and dominating his box? Tbh most of Spurs corners either didn't beat the first man or were over hit tbh
FoxInTheBirstallBox Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 Can we all just take a moment to appreciate his positioning? Something only experience can bring, something Hamer and Kasper still don't quite get SchwarzerHamerKasperI'd be livid if the main 2 at the moment get dropped automatically for Kasper.....
yorkie1999 Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 He seemed to be able to kick the ball in the direction he actually wanted it to go. He's in for me!and he didn't need to control the ball before he smacked it. He just booted it first time.
LCCFox96 Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 Schwarzer was an unexpected signing - didn't see us going in for another first team goalkeeper and thought we'd make do with Hamer and Smith till Kasper got back - but he has been a positive addition thus far. Pisses me off when people say we've only signed Kramaric this window, because Schwarzer looks a great bit of business. Class, vastly experienced goalkeeper who can still cut it at PL level on free transfer. Can't argue with that.
chrishlcfc Posted 26 January 2015 Posted 26 January 2015 Excellent distribution, near enough all of his kicks went straight too a leicester player, it was more like a pass than an aimless punt up field, which is what it should be like.
Fox92 Posted 26 January 2015 Posted 26 January 2015 Can't see why it was an appalling effort for the penalty. Once he's dived the other way he was never going to get it.
FoxTrott Posted 26 January 2015 Posted 26 January 2015 He's a big bloke physically, and most importantly (in comparison to our other two) has conviction when coming for crosses and corners. Spurs didn't really get that many balls into the box, but when they did I feel very assured with Schwarzer, experience = better decision making, for certain. It is a shame he has been a bench frequenter for so long, I hope we can give him more games as I think he is an excellent 'keeper.
RedSoxUK Posted 26 January 2015 Posted 26 January 2015 Almost forgot what it was like to have a GK who can kick..
