Burnley's looks absolutely vile, and QPR desperately need to pick up their away form with some tough home games coming up. 11 straight away defeats now, unbelievable. Also, anything less than seven points for WBA from ourselves, Palace and QPR could send them down. It's all horrific for them from there. This is still doable.
Buzzell Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Got a feeling it's going to be all down to the QPR game.
Kitchandro Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 It's do-able but we can't just pick and choose the games where we turn up. The last two performances are not those of a side determined to stay up.
StanSP Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 I keep looking at our last 6 or 7 and it's so vital that we get our home form sorted as that could be so key. Apart from Palace, I expect nothing from the next 3 (Chelsea will be moved). Overall, the home games are key. 3 out of our last 4 matches are at home and I just hope it's not too late by then to survive...Chelsea, Swansea, Liverpool, Man City, Spurs, Arsenal, Everton. That could be their unravelling.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 It'll go down to the QPR game, they still wouldn't have picked up a point on the road, come to our gaff and win 1-0 (Morgan O.G)
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 I've never thought we are going down because I know there is more to come from this group of players and looking at that makes me even more confident.
Tuna Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Villa 42 WBA 39 Leicester 36 -------------- Hull 35 QPR 34 Burnley 33 My estimate, with 4 points in the next 5 games.

Yeah, agreed. The only reason QPR aren't bottom is because they've already played the majority of their winnable home games. Short of a miraculous upturn in away form (a tall order considering they've lost 11 away on the spin), they'll go down. Burnley's last few are horrid. Man United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Southampton all to visit? I can only see four remaining fixtures where the neutral would put any money on them, all against teams who will be battling just as much. Hull are dreadful at the moment, but do at least have a few more winnable fixtures. The home game against them will be key. Villa just can't score and look like a Premier League version of us when we went down to League One. Some winnable fixtures there, but they need to start scoring. If West Brom aren't safe by Easter, they go down. The Pulis Effect will run out, if it hasn't already based on today's display, and they will need six or seven from the three games against us, Palace and QPR. Any less and they're in huge bother.
The Doctor Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 If come april we're still within touching distance of survival we'll stay up. Qpr are doomed, Burnley do mot have a nice run and villa/west Brom are both a bit shit

tickler28 Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 I see maximum (absolute maximum) 6 wins equalling 18 points added to what we have that's 35 which....I think will see us relegated...sorry guys
Jon25747 Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 I can see us getting 18 points as well but actually think that could be enough
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 I can see a win next week and than four likely losses. After that things look better for us. I think the key factor will a few draws in the games we expect to lose. We have to up the ante from now on in, and not become reliant on the results of our fellow stragglers. Come on City, show some spirit.

Guest seanfox778 Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Jesus! Burnley's next few fixtures should be helpful for us hopefully. Still believe we will survive! Should be an exciting/excruciating end to the season.
lee7 Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 If we don't pick up points against palace then I can't see us picking up any in the 4 after that either! Us and burnley have a hard 4-5 games coming up and I fear we could find ourselves adrift once again at the bottom, which would then leave the remaining 10 matches in which we'd have to go on an amazing run to have any chance of survival! Not looking good!
Focks Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 The psychological damage caused by the next 5 games will send us down big style... We're fvcked!
smudgerfox Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 I'm convinced qpr will still be looking for their first away win when they come to us and will win and stay up and send us down . Living in West London I'm surrounded by qpr fans and after loving their faltering promotion campaign last season I'm sure I'll get my comeuppance. They thought they'd murder us with their big name manager and well paid players so it was great proving them wrong. I'll pay for it though I know.
