dbtcity Posted 16 February 2015 Posted 16 February 2015 If we go down what players do you think will leave? I think in fairness we will still have a very good championship team as I don't think there will be much premiership interest in many of our players. The only players i think that could generate some interest are mahrez, Schlupp, kramaric (although I'd imagine any club would have to pay at least what we shelled out) Ulloa, kasper will probably be off somewhere abroad and cambiasso will retire. Other than that I don't think there will be much more interest bar maybe matty james (hope he stays as him and dd will boss the championship) also it dosent look to good for knocky

Jmd88 Posted 16 February 2015 Posted 16 February 2015 I think drinkwater,James, mahrez,Albrighton, jasper, knockart, cambiasso upson and maybe kramaric
cc_star Posted 16 February 2015 Posted 16 February 2015 Mahrez will probably be sought after, unless anyone saw him yesterday If Kram keeps scoring, he will be too... although when he joined us he must have known Championship football was a possibility The rest? Can't see anyone being interested My only fear is that no one will come in for Cambiasso and he'll take up his second year option with us
MPH Posted 16 February 2015 Posted 16 February 2015 IF we do, then thas to be a bit of money on Pearson getting sacked and Cambiasso at least being offered the job wether he takes it or not....

MPH Posted 16 February 2015 Posted 16 February 2015 IF The great escape can happen. Sunderland last year is testemant to that.

Not sure if this is a joke or not, but why on earth would anyone sack Pearson and appoint Cambiasso if the target for the season was getting out of the Championship.
Fox92 Posted 16 February 2015 Posted 16 February 2015 Kramaric definitely. He's a full International.
benpicko Posted 16 February 2015 Posted 16 February 2015 Hamer De Laet - Moore - Morgan - (new LB) Albrighton - Drinkwater - James - Knockaert Nugent - Vardy Get back up playing how we did last year, though can see us keeping Ulloa and attempting and failing to play with him. Mahrez we'll get a decent amount of money for if he goes and Kramaric unless he begins to be terrible would be going too I'd imagine, though imagine him ripping apart the Championship in place of Vardy...
Donut Posted 16 February 2015 Posted 16 February 2015 If we were to get relegated, we would need pretty much a whole new back 4.
Guest MattP Posted 16 February 2015 Posted 16 February 2015 If we were to get relegated, we would need pretty much a whole new back 4. RDL Morgan and Wasyl should still be more than good enough for that league. I think our biggest problem might be trying to find the same motivation as last season to play in the Premier league.
cullenfox Posted 16 February 2015 Posted 16 February 2015 If we go down I would prefer not to lose many players. Think we'll need them all. However I do think that Mahrez will attract attention and we'd be lucky to keep him. Charge as much as we can for him I say.

I think our biggest problem might be trying to find the same motivation as last season to play in the Premier league. Id still argue we need a much needed left back that weve needed for a while, whilst im not sure Was can continue to be a central figure in the side, or that we shouldnt be looking at the spine of our team built around a soon to be 35 year old. Moore hasnt featured almost all season, what becomes of him next season? Simpson has turned out to be a duffer. And i agree with you about motivation too. Down the line, theyd have to go if we got back up, theyre all aeging together and have had a failed crack already. Tough scenario
ousefox Posted 16 February 2015 Posted 16 February 2015 I can't believe people want Cambiasso as manager. ****ing hell. Wtf has he ever done? He hasn't even coached, we'll be in a league he has probably never even watched on the tele, he's 34 and he will no doubt want to play somewhere else next season. Plus, there are few examples of top players becoming top managers. How many current prem managers played at the highest level and won everything? At least try and come out with a decent replacement for Pearson but stop posting shite I have to waste my time reading.

Donut Posted 16 February 2015 Posted 16 February 2015 Is it not too simplistic to think that the likes of Moore, Knockaert, Vardy who have been bombed out for large parts of the season will come back and have the impact they did during the promotion season? I just dont see it being an ideal situation.
