Watched Sean Payton a fair few times at the Saffron Lane stadium quarterbacking for the Leicester Panthers back in the day, never thought he’d go on to be a top tier NFL coach. To go from Leicester Panthers QB to Super Bowl winning coach is some trajectory

Sponsored by everards! Genesis of a good quiz question there.

Looks like Parsons gone for the season as well. Massive blow to the Packers if true

Walked off the field though. Hopefully not as bad as it looked. Especially after Watson had also gone off injured.

Wouldn’t be so sure, Mahomes walked off but torn ACL confirmed

Looks like an ACL for Parsons as well. Shame, he has been brilliant the past four weeks in particular. Some big injuries for the GB as they also lost Watson too and their offense tailed off once he got injured.

Really enjoyed the games last night - probably the best non playoff Sunday for a few years. Lots of good quality teams playing each other. Both conferences currently have strong wild card teams too - this would be easily the strongest set of wildcards since switching to seven playoff teams. Wouldn't fancy playing any of these:

AFC : Bills, Chargers, Texans

NFC : Seahawks, 49ers, Packers

think i have said it in this thread before or certainly have in a LCFC relate one.

Surely there needs to be an investigation into the play surfaces used in the NFL and the premier league.

The amount of ACL injuries is terrifying. It must be 20-25 high profile ones this season alone.

i can see a lot of law suits coming up in the next 10-15 years!

It does happen more on artificial playing surfaces (metlife is notorious) but it can easily happen on perfect grass pitches too. Parsons was at Mile High which is a grass pitch which is replaced regularly. I don't think their pitches are anywhere near as sophisticated as our football pitches over here and it still happens.

I wonder if it is a side effect of the rise of sports science and and as players get bigger/faster/stronger it puts more and more stress on ligaments.

Governing bodies/associations are hiding ACL injuries under the excuse of more intensity in sports compared to 20yrs ago. While this might be true to an extent the numbers are shocking. The ACL injuries are increased 29x times compared to 20yrs ago.

There needs to be an investigation but as you said we're always very to investigate and react. I have my theories and there are also several studies which are getting ignored.

Good one tonight in Seattle.

Great win, we are just finding ways to get points on the board at the moment! I do worry about coming up against a really good offensive outfit though, lots of needless turnovers may come back to bite us….
