kingfox Posted 23 March 2015 Posted 23 March 2015 My line-up, for what it's worth.. No Hammond, no victories.
HoustonFox Posted 23 March 2015 Posted 23 March 2015 In my opinion, this formation would suit our team and their individual abilities, also making us more potent in attack, and still as terrible at the back probably, this isn't a time to sit back, Our 2 natural goal threats are both being played completely against their strengths, they are both poachers who currently are ending up dropping back into midfield even when we have possession, they are never in the box, and our wingers are pumping balls into nobody, or constantly cutting in and playing diagonal balls that are so easy to defend. We need to get our strikers in the box again. The amount of times I see us cross into nobody is embarrasing. http://lineupbuilder.com/?sk=6f3c - ATTACKING http://lineupbuilder.com/?sk=6f3d - DEFENDING Attacking - Kramaric - Get into the box Ulloa - Get into the box Mahrez - On the left hand side(stronger foot), Get the ball into the box behind the defence and let the strikers attack it - Mix it up with cutting in. Albrighton - Best crosser we have, not slow, get the ball forward and into the box Cambiasso - of the 2 central midfielders, only get forward if a good counter is on, if not try to stay back and defend when neccesary Central midfielder 2 - Prefer Drinkwater for this role as I think he is naturally more attacking than James, Box to Box Konch/Jeff - Only attack when needed, move forward with attacks to provide option to pass back to keep posession if needed DeLaet - Only attack when needed, move forward with attacks to provide option to pass back to keep posession if needed CB - Normal role Hamer - Have a fag Defending - Kramaric - Of the 2 strikers Kramaric to sit back the furthest as he's quicker than ulloa - Collect the ball if needed and link up the attack Ulloa - Slower of the strikers, Sit on the last man and counter getting into the box Mahrez - Drop back and help defend Albrighton- Drop back and help defend Cambiasso - Drop back and help defend Drinkwater - Drop back and help defend Konch/Jeff - Defend De Laet - Defend CB - Defend Hamer - Save stuff On the attack we always have atleast 5 going forward, if we are on a good counter or are putting alot of pressure on lesser opponents we also have Cambiasso, and the full backs potentially. On the defensive we drop back and defend but keep a striker forward (preferably 2) and make sure the slowest of the 2 is on the last man so he can make sure he can get into the box. Back to basics. Thoughts? Bit puzzled why you would drop our two best players from the last couple of games in Nuge and Vardy. Also James has been very solid and does a lot of the running for Cambiasso in midfield and I think it's been proven that DD and EC can't play together as they both want to "playmake". I do agree with trying to get Krama in and would probably rest/drop Ulloa for him for now and maybe go with a 433/4312 formation with Vards/Krama/Nuge up top and interchanging (someone in the middle at all times please!) Schlupp/Cambiasso/James midfield (Jeff covers left side and can run forward but also cover back but in a slightly more tucked in manner and James can cover for RDL when he bombs on. EC in the middle Konch/Huth/Was (or if Wes plays like Saturday keep him in) and RDL defence Schwarz/Hamer in goal Tried to draw it but didn't work on iPad!
Leicesterpool Posted 23 March 2015 Posted 23 March 2015 I've got three possible formations, One- http://lineupbuilder.com/?sk=6f5p Two- http://lineupbuilder.com/?sk=6f5q Three- http://lineupbuilder.com/?sk=6f5r Out the three what would you think would work.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 23 March 2015 Posted 23 March 2015 My line-up, for what it's worth.. I didn't look any further than Schmeichel.
Guest Cujek Posted 23 March 2015 Posted 23 March 2015 http://lineupbuilder.com/?sk=6f81 I would like to see this
Long Eaton Fox Posted 23 March 2015 Posted 23 March 2015 I'd go with this. Not sure about Hamer but this team has all of our best players in it playing in the right roles
Nod.E Posted 23 March 2015 Posted 23 March 2015 It can only be a positive sign when both Kingfox and Dangerous Tiger disagree with your line up
shailen Posted 23 March 2015 Posted 23 March 2015 We could argue about formations all day, but if the team does not score goals and defend properly it really does not matter how we set up. I don't think any system apart from the diamond in midfield has been ineffective, but it's the same story of us not taking our chances that has really let us down.
