Asha Posted 6 December 2007 Posted 6 December 2007 'Manchester United have failed with a third £500,000 bid for 17-year-old Leicester City striker Ricky Sappleton. What papers that? Could have been done on paint
Mr Happy Posted 6 December 2007 Posted 6 December 2007 Can't believe Derby are after Dave Nugent! Desperate times call for desperate measures
General Smuts Posted 6 December 2007 Posted 6 December 2007 You Can Take Our Chairman. You Can Take Our Manager But You Can Never Take Our Sapplezilla!!!!!!!!
Kirky Posted 6 December 2007 Author Posted 6 December 2007 What papers that?Could have been done on paint I can't remember, but i think the daily mail or daily sport.
General Smuts Posted 6 December 2007 Posted 6 December 2007 I can't remember, but i think the daily mail or daily sport. We both looked for an online link but couldn't find one so i made him put the pic up .
Tommy G Posted 6 December 2007 Posted 6 December 2007 500k? I'd take that. What a waste of cash from utd is that 'rumour' is true!
Joe. Posted 6 December 2007 Posted 6 December 2007 500k? I'd take that. What a waste of cash from utd is that 'rumour' is true! You take that back
hairy Posted 6 December 2007 Posted 6 December 2007 He'll be pleased that we rejected offers from Man U. Sappleton's end is neigh.
Tommy G Posted 6 December 2007 Posted 6 December 2007 Its got to be bollcoks. Utd have so many good strikers, and no doubt others coming through so theres no need to buy him. I really can't see the logic
maddog Posted 6 December 2007 Posted 6 December 2007 Sell him to replace the money wasted on Stephen Clemence Joke! although he is playing pretty awful at the moment
Zingari Posted 6 December 2007 Posted 6 December 2007 it looks like "£300,000" to me , but still not sure if i believe it
Thracian Posted 6 December 2007 Posted 6 December 2007 Ridiculous. Why would Manchester United make such an insulting bid. Sappleton is an unpolished diamond. Every facet of his game is in the process of achieving perfection and when the day finally arrives he will shine like a beacon of dazzling light - so much so that no ground will need floodlights when he plays. For Leicester to sell Sappleton for £500,000 would be like Chelsea selling Drogba for a Dairy Box. Milan should enquire if United have been misquoted and perhaps missed a nought off. Of even two! I knew it was risky playing Sappleton in the first team. It was rather like exhibiting the Mona Lisa on a market stall in Portobello Road. You just knew someone would notice he was something special and want to run off with him. How much were they offering?

Geo V Posted 6 December 2007 Posted 6 December 2007 If that lad at Burnley Kyle Lafferty is worth £5m, then the Rickster is worth £20m plus Louis Saha and Bobby Charlton in a swapsies deal.
