12FRYATT Posted 4 May 2007 Posted 4 May 2007 He is out of contract at colchester this summer, i think he would be a good signing on a free, not the quickest but i think he would be great to partner Hume or Fryatt. Anyone else have any thoughts?
FrankieWorthoYaggedMyWife Posted 4 May 2007 Posted 4 May 2007 I would rather have dog turds for my dinner!
mat_j101 Posted 4 May 2007 Posted 4 May 2007 I think we could do worse! Would like to see us by somone relatively big and still quickish, but I would be ok with signing Iwelumo on a free. Not sure he would come anyway to be honest, Colchester have had a great season!
Geo V Posted 4 May 2007 Posted 4 May 2007 He has his pluses but i think scored something like 17 or 18 goals this season (which is a lot more than Eastwood and people cant stop talking about him) but even still, he isnt mobile enough and I would like a more complete striker if at all possible.
City Fan Posted 4 May 2007 Posted 4 May 2007 Believe it or not, we are not going to be able sign the likes of Drogba and Rooney in the summer, which everyone on here seems to think. Yes please to Iwelumo, would be much better than Elvis. We aren't going to be able to sign anyone much better.
mancunianfox Posted 4 May 2007 Posted 4 May 2007 Don't think he would be a bad signing but I don't think he is an ideal one. Would suit the big and burly brigade though. Couldn't be any worse than horsfield.
Bryn Posted 4 May 2007 Posted 4 May 2007 I think he'd be a good signing, good in the air, strong, plenty of goals this season. Can't believe some of the players people on here turn down, it's delusional.

Can't believe some of the players people on here turn down, it's delusional. I agree, i think he would be a good signing. Something that we have lacked since De Vries is strength up the top end. We need a big target man for next season one that can win a ball in the air because we Know how much our current squad likes to play hoofball.

Bryn Posted 4 May 2007 Posted 4 May 2007 Yes because we all know who a man who scored 18 goals in a season for a side who isn't going to make the playoffs is not good enough for this league.

lostsole89 Posted 4 May 2007 Posted 4 May 2007 good goalscoring record this season.. would be a nice signing if we could get him.

BigGibbo Posted 4 May 2007 Posted 4 May 2007 Forsell isn't fit, Jerome has been out of favour, DJ Campbell to be frank ain't that great and Bendtner was in a class of his own. o.k fair enough so if any of those players was a leicester player right now you would swap them for iwulemo would you?
Fez of Mahrez Posted 4 May 2007 Posted 4 May 2007 I love after the season he's had and the season our strikers have had, people are still turning their noses up at him. I swear some of you actually think we are going to sign Billy Sharp.

I swear some of you actually think we are going to sign Billy Sharp. He's had a good season. Mind you Cureton has had a better one and I wouldn't have him at the club for all the coke in Colombia.

I swear some of you actually think we are going to sign Billy Sharp. There are plenty of other young players we should look at down in league 1. Little exposure, limited hype and worth a gamble.
Joe. Posted 4 May 2007 Posted 4 May 2007 I don't really understand people turning him down in the way they have. He's scored a good number of goals for a team who were only promoted from League One last year. People moan we need a goalscorer so when somebody who has scored goals this season gets suggested, he is shot down.
escape2victory Posted 4 May 2007 Posted 4 May 2007 Another name to throw into the melting pot, Leon Constantine. Out of contract with Port Vale in the summer. Scored 26 goals this season. Link

BigGibbo Posted 4 May 2007 Posted 4 May 2007 Such as? i'll take this one Luke Varney, Nicky Maynard, Billy Sharp, Nathan Tyson, Izale Mcleod, Jermaine Easter off the top of my head pal
