Choutos is a Greek version of Elvis Hammond! He gets to decent clubs but hardly ever plays. I heard he nearly retired last season after injury??! I wouldnt go for him.

I have heard that Choutos has been released by Inter Milan. He was the one of was immense against us in that friendly a few seasons ago.

Hasn't had a sniff at Inter at all really and been on loan a lot.

Could we get him?

Yes I remember him, he was excellent against us and if we had any chance I would be delighted.

I should imagine we'll give Cadamarteri another year. Dunno why, just a hunch.

We're not exactly releasing Nisse are we? He can get better wages then we are prepared to offer him so good luck to the guy

......................well we are releasing him from a few years of misery I suppose

Nisa came as a Bosman and will leave as a Bosman! He seems to enjoy generous signing-on fees when is involved in a transfer and the best way to get them is when the club dont have to pay for the player. As much as I am grateful of his goal at Preston and have joined in with elevating him to almost hero status on that goal, I must admit I get cheesed off when I read reports that he is telling us he has "options". If he really wanted to stay here he would have signed a new deal already.

Footballers have no loyalty these days and that new "Webster" deal that has gone through will increase player power and put the non-Premiership clubs right up the sh**er.

iwelumo is a free transfer, the guy has scored 18 league goals this year, when was the last time we had a striker in this league that has scored that many. i say go for him. he migh not b a big name player but he can score goals at this level.

i would also like to see izale mcleod being a name mentioned over the summer, very quick, good in the air, strong and scores goals. i must admit though in the summer we need players who are going to supply our strikers. lets get the midfield sorted.

Weso as the holding hardman and a playmaker alongside him, goals are created from the midfield.

i know were looking higher for players but you can still find some talent lower down, sometimes, maybe

more releases in league 1 and 2:

gillingham: Ben Chorley, Clint Easton(nigel wotho's first signing in summer while at watford in 2001 apparently), Brent Sancho, Leon Johnson, Frannie Collin and Luke Howell.

cheltenham: Jamie Victory, Mickey Bell, Steve Guinan, Shane Paul and Michael Whittington.

swindon: aaron brown, ben wells, royce brownlie, scott doe, luke hopper, gareth whalley, jon stewart.

I rate him highly. I'd take him here in a shot.

I agree, I remember that overhead he scored for QPR from outside the box...one of the best goals ive ever seen!

Think he would still have something to offer a championship club but I don't think his heart would be in it. I don't want people at the club who don't want to be here.

He's getting on for an out-feild player now, whats more he's played for Man City which is what he's wanted to do for a long time and in his mind thats probably the culmination of his carear in many ways, still if he was motivated I'd be interested... would be a decent squad player at this level, but he's not a player i'd be desperate to bring in.

All depends on his fitness, when he's fully fit he's still good enough for the premiership. Likewise with Malcolm Christie who has also been released.

Both will have plenty of championship clubs after them.

Ex-Manchester United isn't he?

Yup.

I don't see anything about him having been released. :ermm:

Can't imagine they'd just let him walk for free when they paid 250k quids for him only a year ago.

Sinclair sounds interesting...

Not quite sure whether he'd be really good enough at the age he is now though, I haven't watched him play for a good while due to his injuries etc.
