Thracian Posted 14 May 2007 Posted 14 May 2007 Always rated him, still think he a fine keeper... just a shame about the... er... "activities" he got up to that led to him being booted out at WestBrom and winding up as Stoke's second choice... but as back up to a younger keeper like Camp I'd love to have him at the club! He's wasted in football!
Sly Posted 14 May 2007 Posted 14 May 2007 He's retiring I thought? Apparently not, he's looking for a club. He still feels he can offer something at Championship level. I'd take him.
Steven Posted 14 May 2007 Posted 14 May 2007 Apparently not, he's looking for a club. He still feels he can offer something at Championship level. I'd take him. His personal baggage.
Mort Posted 14 May 2007 Posted 14 May 2007 Apparently not, he's looking for a club. He still feels he can offer something at Championship level. I'd take him. Think he's still at Stoke, at least it was them who snapped him up when WestBrom effectivley exiled him!
Sly Posted 14 May 2007 Posted 14 May 2007 He's been released as he could displace Simonsen as the No 1.
Geo V Posted 14 May 2007 Posted 14 May 2007 Cadamateri, Newton, Hoult. Get La Manga booked and i`ll order the hookers.

Sly Posted 14 May 2007 Posted 14 May 2007 Newton? I've missed that one. Do tell. Illegal substance abuse...apparently.
Mort Posted 14 May 2007 Posted 14 May 2007 He's been released as he could displace Simonsen as the No 1. Then I'd be happy if we brought him in, dont rate Hendo, Douglas is off and Logan is still unconvincing, as a second choice to a keeper like Camp he's be a good shout IMHO... as a free I'd be happy to bring him in, better than what we've got at the moment!

MPH Posted 14 May 2007 Posted 14 May 2007 Ok, im happy to accept the smirks about pistone , but richard Wright, a GK i always thought was pretty good has just been released by Everton. Regular football soon to be in the prem ( hopefully) and mandaric able to pay good wages.... Logan is good but i wonder if he will struggle in the prem, Henderson well, Wright has had prem league experience....

Mort Posted 14 May 2007 Posted 14 May 2007 Logan is good but i wonder if he will struggle in the prem, Henderson well, Wright has had prem league experience.... Errr... Back on topic, all our keepers are pretty poor, Logan alone has the capacity to improve but thats all... we need a decent keeper in the summer and we probably will also need a decent second choice, Wright is worth consideration though i'd rate somone like Camp higher, and Wright is not going to be a second choice keeper at this level (unlike somone like Hoult, who would do nicley for us as a second choice IMHO).
Brainy Posted 14 May 2007 Posted 14 May 2007 I've wanted Wright here since I knew he was soon to be available, His time at Everton was never going to last, so now he's been released, hopefully...
MPH Posted 14 May 2007 Posted 14 May 2007 Errr... . ok well, umm, good for his age? um, good for a reserve? umm, umm.. anyway, my point was richard wright, if we could get him would be a step in the right direction.. Oh no... you can just imagine Bill anderson with that headline ' City take step in the Wright direction' *groans*

Oh no... you can just imagine Bill anderson with that headline ' City take step in the Wright direction' *groans* Sorry boss... didnt meant to sound too harsh, Logan's all potential... but i dont really rate him that much, though i think he deserves a chance (not as our first choice), still good call on Wright as he'd be a decent signing IMHO! PS:
HankMarvin Posted 16 May 2007 Posted 16 May 2007 Bramble: Released by Magpies Big Sam wields St James' Park axe New boss Sam Allardyce has wasted no time in wielding the axe at St James' Park and has released Titus Bramble and four other Newcastle stars. would you want him on a free??????????
