What position must the foxes finish for Ollie to keep his job?

avoid relegation. maybe.

Milan M may not want to change managers again. Especially after Ollie finishes with the clearing out process and brought in new players. Another manager would only do the same and although he is rich he's not stupid when it comes to spending money.:scarf:

Anywhere above League 1 will do for me.

I had hoped to finish in the top half this season to show some signs of progress, but it seems like we might have a tough second half of the season ahead.

Let's say we get relegated. We had a major upheaval last summer, another upheaval now. Are people saying we'll need to start all over again in the summer with a new manager and new ideas?

I warned that MM wouldn't come in here and wave a magic wand and that's been proved.

Just as ever you need to build something in football. We could and should have gone forward last summer and in fact we did certain things instead that I don't believe will ever be properly explained.

I've said I'll stick with Holloway until next Christmas for a reason. The reason is he'll need at least the summer to really put together the sort of team that has his mark on it and get it functioning at its best.

Relegation has never been the biggest fear for me. The biggest fear has been carrying on as we have done for four years.

I fully agree with all of this. I don't want to see us relegatred though and I doubt it'll happen. I still think we'll finish mid table this season all said and done. My worst thought was us getting relegated then struggling in League 1 as we continue to chop and change managers in search of someone who will give us a short term high as we string a few wins together.

I still think Holloway is the right man for the job but only time will tell on that.

Avoiding relegation (though if we got relegated I'm sure Ollie would walk anyway...)

MM should keep Ollie whatever happens

Missionary to get a contract extension!

Doggy to get the sack!

Maybe he got the sack just to get the job in the first place?

21st will do for me to be honest. Then with any luck we can build a team that is capable of challenging next season. What i'd do for a nice boring midtable season!

Mandaric has high standards, but I don't think he will sack Ollie unless we are near the drop zone come the end of the season with time running out. I think about 15th would please Mandaric (if possible) given the circumastances

12th? 16th? 21st? Or will he still be there if the foxes go down?

We are not going down, but your Plymouth might be if you keep losing players

You would imagine the new players Holloway brings in will take time to settle in to the team - which means further changes and it may take beyond January until we see some consistent form (assuming the new players are good enough and make an impact).

Ideally, MM would like to see us finish much higher up the table - but we have to be realistic and realise we are in a precarious position after half the season gone. Given all the upheaval we've had this season, I'm sure he would be happy to see us avoid relegation and then have the summer to build for next season.

Even if we go down I think Ollie should stay, as lomg as there are signs that things are headed in the right direction. I can't see us going down though.

I can't say I am happy for them beacuse of who their manager is but Leeds will be promoted with ease this season , even after a 15 point deduction. I don't think that would have happened if they had got a new manager in over the summer.

Has to avoid relegation, then his tenure will truly start. If there is no radical improvement come the first few matches of next season then I think he'll be a goner

If we get relegated I imagine Holloway would see that as a failure anyway. I want to see an improvement on a) what we've seen under Holloway and then b) what we've had to endure from other managers in the past few years. So if Ollie can start doing that before the end of the season then he'll be the right man for the job.
