sham Posted 2 July 2008 Posted 2 July 2008 at 6:30pm i was at odeon queing and in walks max gradel to use the link cash machine. As he was leaving i stopped him and shook his hand and near enough pleaded with him to stay at leicester, his response was: "i will, i will but if newcastle come in for me then i will definately leave" my response, shocked and dismayed whilst trying to be cheeky: "you are joking right? it would be a step backwards!' Max's Response: "Sorry in a rush" i hope this doesnt mean that newcastle have already enquired.
sham Posted 2 July 2008 Author Posted 2 July 2008 tell me **** bout it... i am so upset. i even asked him to take a picture but he said sorry ina rush again
Ozwin Posted 2 July 2008 Posted 2 July 2008 Hopefully Pearson's links with Newcastle will benefit us. I.e. He'll tell them to piss off politely.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 2 July 2008 Posted 2 July 2008 I'm just in the process of buying my Ivory Coast shirt with his name on the back, he better not f**k off elsewhere.
sham Posted 2 July 2008 Author Posted 2 July 2008 Hopefully Pearson's links with Newcastle will benefit us. I.e. He'll tell them to piss off politely. i really hope so... i was the only one he actually recognised him... how can u not his blonde mohecan stands out... but he wasn't even laughing when he said it... he was genuinely serious...
sham Posted 2 July 2008 Author Posted 2 July 2008 I don't see why he'd lie about it. neither do i which is why its worrying me more, i was actually lookin forward to him and dyer either wing... for the 1st time in a long time leicester would have had a pair of wingers that can cause havoc and chaos
Unabomber Posted 2 July 2008 Posted 2 July 2008 Well lets hope they don't come in. But it does seem abit random why he would say it so he has obviously heard something.
James. Posted 2 July 2008 Posted 2 July 2008 I'm just in the process of buying my Ivory Coast shirt with his name on the back, he better not f**k off elsewhere. With our proud history of signing Ivorian players it's only a matter of time before we get another one in.
Ozwin Posted 2 July 2008 Posted 2 July 2008 Newcastle is the graveyard for players. You go there and you expect to be injured and have your career tarnished for years to come. Alan Smith Nicky Butt Michael Owen Mark Viduka Geremi Obefemi Martins All turned to **** after they left their respective clubs.

Does that make Leicester the poor man's graveyard? Stephen Clemence Matt Oakley Steve Howard Carl Cort ( )
Stevosevic Posted 2 July 2008 Posted 2 July 2008 Maybe he was joking about it as Newcastle may have been the team he supported as a kid?
Mickyblueeyes Posted 2 July 2008 Posted 2 July 2008 Maybe he was joking about it as Newcastle may have been the team he supported as a kid? Thats what I thought as well. But then again Dennis Wise is on that director role at st james's and the fact he managed at the level Max played may be all to aware of Maxi potential
General Smuts Posted 2 July 2008 Posted 2 July 2008 Maybe he was joking about it as Newcastle may have been the team he supported as a kid? Thats the way i read it tbh.

Darkzzz_ Posted 2 July 2008 Posted 2 July 2008 Does that make Leicester the poor man's graveyard?Stephen Clemence Matt Oakley Steve Howard Carl Cort ( ) This man was dead long before we got hold of him!! I hope Gradel isn't off, but i think he is just winding you up pal....
Cheese Me Posted 2 July 2008 Posted 2 July 2008 Newcastle are not going to come in for Gradel, at least not right now. For me this is positive, he's saying he'll stay (and it's good to know he's back in Leicester, I hadn't heard anythign since he went back to France). If he was going to go to a big premiership club it would be for big money only - but let's be honest, he might be great but he's not yet played first team football except for a season with Bournemouth - after a year or two in our first team he may well be moving on to bigger and better things but not right now. Really looking forward to seeing him play for us.
Father Ted Posted 2 July 2008 Posted 2 July 2008 Max - if your reading this then please stay !!!!!!!!!! Newcastle would definitely be a step backwards, although he looks a very similar player to N'Zogbia - hopefully Gradel won't be his replacement
Unabomber Posted 2 July 2008 Posted 2 July 2008 Tbh Sheehan apparantly told some he was staying and he fooked off, and I know he isn't in the same league/importance as Max but I wouldn't look into it too much, let's just hope he stays and let him get on with giving fullbacks a good whipping next season.

TBH, I don't care, he's gone - that's it. Good luck for the future Sheehan and thanks for everything. Now go fcuk Leeds up. Thanks for the laughs with Thracian and Shush! now piss off!
RowlattsFox Posted 2 July 2008 Posted 2 July 2008 Max Gradel will not join Newcastle, it just won't happen. Not yet anyway.
iancognito Posted 2 July 2008 Posted 2 July 2008 "Same old Maxi, taking the piss" Actually that sounds quite good. Maybe I should add it into the Songs For The Season thread.
