dandannieldanok Posted 19 October 2008 Posted 19 October 2008 What a crap attempt by Martin on their goal, instead of diving he slides onto his knees.
C-man Posted 19 October 2008 Posted 19 October 2008 What a crap attempt by Martin on their goal, instead of diving he slides onto his knees. In fairness, he was never getting anywhere near it.
Jimmy Posted 19 October 2008 Posted 19 October 2008 What a crap attempt by Martin on their goal, instead of diving he slides onto his knees. shut up, that shot was in the perfect spot, he had no chance, if you want to complain about it complain that no-one closed him down and just let him pick his spot
Father Ted Posted 19 October 2008 Posted 19 October 2008 What a crap attempt by Martin on their goal, instead of diving he slides onto his knees. Exactly what I was about to say. What a fcuking moron - when's he gonna be dropped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would have made a better attempt at saving that!
morris1234 Posted 19 October 2008 Posted 19 October 2008 cant blame martin for that, the lad struck it so sweet and remember martin has to look through many bodies aswell, i think it was past him before he could get set which i think is why he ended up onhis knees because it was just too late! anyway, good point , should have won really, and its time to take our away form back to the walkers! p.s. what sh*te marking for howards goal
Alexikokopops Posted 19 October 2008 Posted 19 October 2008 What a crap attempt by Martin on their goal, instead of diving he slides onto his knees. Martin is shit Exactly what I was about to say. What a fcuking moron - when's he gonna be dropped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would have made a better attempt at saving that! It's no different to when a keeper just stands motionless and watches a shot go in. It was unstoppable and he could've done nothing about it, so who cares if he didn't make a flying attempt for the cameras?
DB11 Posted 19 October 2008 Posted 19 October 2008 It's no different to when a keeper just stands motionless and watches a shot go in. No. This is Martin, the latest in a string of goalkeeping calamities.
C-man Posted 19 October 2008 Posted 19 October 2008 No. This is Martin, the latest in a string of goalkeeping calamities. Were you at the game? If you weren't you wouldn't have seen how far that was in the top corner. Martin had no chance and you really have no idea.
Father Ted Posted 19 October 2008 Posted 19 October 2008 No. This is Martin, the latest in a string of goalkeeping calamities. Not quite a calamity but usual Martin lazy dozey attitude. He is worse than Rab.
lildave3 Posted 19 October 2008 Posted 19 October 2008 Are people really criticising Martin for that? Get real. Unsaveable.
davieG Posted 19 October 2008 Author Posted 19 October 2008 Are people really criticising Martin for that? Get real. Unsaveable. One or two on here seem to have a deep hatred for him that clouds their judgement
JakeShingler Posted 19 October 2008 Posted 19 October 2008 Read in the paper it would be up for goal of the seaon, wasn't that good was it?
Webbo Posted 19 October 2008 Posted 19 October 2008 I don't criticize Martin for the goal but there were times during the match when there were high balls coming into the box that he could have come for but didn't. I thought he was poor yesterday.
leicesterseddon Posted 19 October 2008 Posted 19 October 2008 I don't criticize Martin for the goal but there were times during the match when there were high balls coming into the box that he could have come for but didn't. I thought he was poor yesterday. Same. You can't criticise him for not stopping their goal...but I still think he's shit
MC Prussian Posted 19 October 2008 Posted 19 October 2008 Oh well... We're still Number One... Get a grip and stop slagging off Martin, who's sight was probably blocked. If you want close-to-perfect goalkeeping, go and see Cech, Friedel or Reina or whomever... For some reason, to me it seems as if we could've gotten more out of this game than one point...
The Stig Posted 19 October 2008 Posted 19 October 2008 I think David Martin is THE worse goal keeper we've ever had at the club. It's a disgrace he was sined in the first place and I put 100% of the blame for the draw on his shoulders. We've never had a good keeper since we got rid of Kevin Pressman.
DB11 Posted 19 October 2008 Posted 19 October 2008 Were you at the game? If you weren't you wouldn't have seen how far that was in the top corner.Martin had no chance and you really have no idea. Doesn't matter - he could still have made an effort. One or two on here seem to have a deep hatred for him that clouds their judgement Well it isn't a deep hatred. There was simply no reason why he should have ousted Hendo from the first team spot in the first place, and the fact that he is still keeping it beggars belief! Well it shouldn't be sarcasm but you are acting it as so I agree with it but not as sarcasm)
Jimmy Posted 19 October 2008 Posted 19 October 2008 Read in the paper it would be up for goal of the seaon, wasn't that good was it? you obviously couldn't see the amount of curl the lad put on the shot, superb, if it doesn't win GOTM at least there will have to be some screamers in the next week or so
Jimmy Posted 19 October 2008 Posted 19 October 2008 DB don't talk shit he would never of gotten any where near it so whether he "made an effort" or not is irrelevant, as for the comment about crosses, do you seriously think Henderson would of done better, if anything he is WORSE then Martin at dealing with aerial balls, because for a start he doesn't call so ends up challenging his own defenders and as often as not drops it as a result of the collision

Unless you're describing Martin.

But he did and to continue to snipe at him for no reason exposes your hatred, as for the goal yesterday I seem to remember Henderson being beaten by a fair number of similar goals.
