Zingari Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 West and Bromwich up front , and we play them next week ? coincidence ? i doubt it
Lillehamring Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 i really think we should revert to the more attacking 1-3-6 formation, ironic how by megson it had completely reversed. anyone else notice that we had the baggies up front
Guest ttfn Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 I went to school with Dingley. Cracking left foot. Bad attitude though

lildave3 Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 We should definitely field that formation against West Brom as a tribute.

Guest Bilo Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 Happy birthday LCFC! What a birthday present our current form has been as well. Amazing to think we were playing in almost the same colours in the game closest to the anniversary too.
MC Prussian Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 Do we have any Leicester Fosse 1884 offspring posting on this board by any chance? Whose (great-)great-grandfather used to play for them, come on out!!!

Reading my copy of Fossil and Foxes I think my house was built somewhere near or around where that game was played.

Thracian Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 Reading my copy of Fossil and Foxes I think my house was built somewhere near or around where that game was played. How far away would that have been from Livingstone Road, right next to Fosse Road, where my grandparents lived for many years and to the Shaftesbury Road junior school (which fronted Fosse Road) which their offspring attended? The school was founded in 1886 and would have been in the process of being built at the time of that first game. In fact the whole area must have been a massive building site around that time because I feel sure the Livingstone Road houses bear a date-stone for 1886.

Actually I mis read Davie's post(and my copy of F & F). I thought it was Fosseway Syston.
