LCFC94 Posted 5 March 2011 Posted 5 March 2011 If we were to get a player on a emergency loan, who would it be and what position would you want to improve?
cc_star Posted 5 March 2011 Posted 5 March 2011 I think we've options all over the pitch Realistically we're only going to get someone who's not got a chance in hell of playing for their own team for the remainder of the season - I can't see we'll be able to get anyone to improve players already here, in particular a quality striker to compete with the 3 we have? No chance until the summer. I've always thought we were short in midfield but I felt this area was reinvigorated today with the formation change with everyone doing a good job in the hardest game (on paper) of the season
broughtonblue Posted 5 March 2011 Posted 5 March 2011 A striker who can finish. Mattt fryatt, done the biz again!
ithuriel Posted 5 March 2011 Posted 5 March 2011 Matty Fryatt only ever really did the business under Pearson, if he had stayed he would be rotting on our bench with his value decreasing.
Callabinho Posted 5 March 2011 Posted 5 March 2011 A midfielder/WInger Some one who can do something with a ball!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 5 March 2011 Posted 5 March 2011 Let's get that Borini kid on loan from Chelsea. Failing that, Josh McEachran to give us some creativity in the middle.
dannythefox Posted 6 March 2011 Posted 6 March 2011 why the hell we went for fat yak i will never no when daniel sturridge was still available! The yak is not the answer the same as i said about vassell. I hope we get in the play offs this season but we need to win 5 or 6 on the bounce now an i carnt see it!

And Yakubu has been scoring, stop being so overreactionary.

Yakubu has virtually scored one in two since he arrived. He's doing a fairly decent job. I don't know what people expect/expected from him to be honest. He doesn't run around non-stop for ninety minutes. Does that make him lazy? No. He's a very clever player, doesn't wear himself out and gets into positions lesser strikers wouldn't have the brains to move into. He's not been a consistently decent top flight striker for so long without reason, but what do I know, eh? Let's call him Fat Yak instead and start a campaign to bring Hume back. He ran around lots.

I'am not a hume fan anyway so dont even bring him in to it. I just think we could of got a better striker for less money WE need a striker that will run after the ball and chase it down marlon king is a great example caused us lots of problems etc i think the other teams have sussed us out and we will struggle to get higher up the table.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 6 March 2011 Posted 6 March 2011 Do we NEED a striker that will hassle defenders though? It's not an essential attribute needed to become a top striker. Marlon King is not better than Yakubu (who actually isn't fat), by a long, long chalk, no matter how impressive he was against us.

People really need to stop thinking the yak is the answer hes way off hes just a nice way to blow £40.000 a week! He should of scored today and the last match and the last match and the last match how long do we keep saying it for? thers not many left!

He should of scored today and the last match and the last match and the last match how long do we keep saying it for? thers not many left! 4 in 9 and he very nearly did score today despite not really having any proper chances. He is class and looks dangerous every time the ball goes near him in and around the box. End of.
dannythefox Posted 6 March 2011 Posted 6 March 2011 Will see at the end of the season if people are still saying YAK YAK YAK because i bet anyone now they wont be he needs another burger!

He should of scored today and the last match and the last match and the last match how long do we keep saying it for? thers not many left! Do you know for a fact that he's on £40K a week? Or have you just plucked a figure banded about willy-nilly in poorly written newspaper articles? He had no clear cut chances today, in fact he very nearly produced something from nothing with a cracking lob that Kenny tipped over the bar. He's here now, he's a quality striker, who, in my opinion, is the best centre forward we've had here in a long while. You might not like him, repeatedly saying "he's not the answer," without coming up with any kind of solutions yourself. The options we could bring in right now in the emergency loan market would, almost certainly, have nothing like the quality that Yakubu possesses. You clearly don't like him for some fucking unknown reason but you'll be looking a long time if you reckon we could get anyone better in right now. If you had it your way, would you terminate the loan deal now, leaving us with Waghorn, Vassell, and, to an extent, Gallagher to fight for places up front? Moron.

The one where 'fat yak' scored a goal? And the match before that, against Derby...he scored then. Do us all a favour and fuck off.

Just having my say everyones entitled to ther opinion.

Course I'd have him if we got to the Premiership, he's proven. You'd be a fool not to see that from his record. Hes defo on 40,000 a week my friend nos a player at everton take it as you wish. I think I've said this about a million times before so I'll say it again. brfc24 who posts on here said he's on nothing near 40K a week and he's got very, very close links to a City player. TAKE IT AS YOU WISH.
