deep blue Posted 6 March 2011 Posted 6 March 2011 Several contributers have stated that Yakubu's presence creates space for King to come through and score. But Kingy scored plenty of goals before the Yak arrived here. I suspect he's made no difference in that respect. It would be interesting to know Kingy's goal ratio before and after Yakubu's arrival. I guess the stats will prove me wrong; they usually do.
ajthefox Posted 6 March 2011 Posted 6 March 2011 Bradley Wright-Phillips ? Put a 30K Fee in and he will be ours He's shit. I don't get how you could want anyone only worth 30k, then again Bamba was hardly expensive and he's been great. Still, there's a big difference in those two fees and more to the point BWP is not good enough for us nevermind the answer to our 'problem'.

(stats only relate to league). edit: Quick maths says on gpg ratio over the course of a season king would score 16 without the yak as opposed to 20 alongside the yak.
Marcus james Posted 6 March 2011 Posted 6 March 2011 If we were to get a player on a emergency loan, who would it be and what position would you want to improve? Its amazing that we have used the loan market really well but another loan signing I think sven should stick to the ones we allready have and rotate the squad around them which he has done allready. But if we really needed another loan if yakubu got injured i would look to sign out of form and out of the team OWEN

Must admit I'm surprised it's that clear. But then, I did say I expected the stats would prove my gut instinct wrong ...
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 6 March 2011 Posted 6 March 2011 Both of you: Why would players know what new loan signings are on? I was countering his point that he 'has a friend that knows an Everton player,' for a start, and brfc24 has consistently been proved right on several news breaks. Ergo I trust any information they choose to post. Okay?

There's a good chance it's a lot though, whether that be 30k, 40k?

Wymsey Posted 6 March 2011 Posted 6 March 2011 I see Tom Huddlestone hasn't played for Spurs recently. His strength would be vital in this league and he likes to have a shot from distance too who is different to Wellens as he is shy at shooting. Him and King would be a great centre midfield partnership and would help to get the ball moved towards the strikers.

Pure speculation of course but doubt he'd want to drop down.

Bugg Posted 6 March 2011 Posted 6 March 2011 What about Jeremie Aliadiere Rui Marques Febian Brandy there all avialble. They're also all shit.
jamiegoode Posted 6 March 2011 Posted 6 March 2011 Didnt Aliadare play for Arsenal? And Brandys seemed like one for the future? Rui Marq i only know from old LMA mannger games
Haydos Posted 6 March 2011 Posted 6 March 2011 Didnt Aliadare play for Arsenal? And Brandys seemed like one for the future? Rui Marq i only know from old LMA mannger games Aliadiere is woeful. He's scored about 4 goals a season since he's been at Boro' and they've released him. Not good enough for Boro = Not good enough for a promotion charge.
jamiegoode Posted 6 March 2011 Posted 6 March 2011 Well it might be worth a shot slap him in reserves and see what he can do , and brandy might work well with the youthful team
Bugg Posted 6 March 2011 Posted 6 March 2011 Well it might be worth a shot slap him in reserves and see what he can do , and brandy might work well with the youthful team Brandy was on trial here, obviously he was shit. And Aliadiere wouldn't even get into our non-existent reserves
Bert Posted 6 March 2011 Posted 6 March 2011 If we don't win on Tuesday, it'll be more likely someone else will be coming in.
Haydos Posted 6 March 2011 Posted 6 March 2011 Alvaro Morata. Yeah, the Spanish champions are going to loan one of their brightest prospects to the Second tier in England, just like they always do.
FuriousFox46 Posted 6 March 2011 Posted 6 March 2011 Yeah, the Spanish champions are going to loan one of their brightest prospects to the Second tier in England, just like they always do. I'm glad you see it my way... He plays for Real Madrid not Barca and we were scouting him earlier in the year.
