We have no idea what the club can do in the summer in terms of building a side, unless theres been some revelations in today's interview. We deffo need signings, you can't rely on 34/35 year olds who are shortly out of contract playing 90 minutes 3 games a week, and you certainly can't rely on 17 year olds to do the same. All the new manager needs to do is show they'll do whatever it takes to get as many points as possible, and right now i think it's long balls and squeeze up the pitch, crosses into the box and get aggressive. We need to stop with the stupidity of things like passing back to the keeper from kick off, who boots it anyway, whats the point of that? You may as well pass to the defender who is already further up the pitch and then boot it up. We need a manager who demands work rate from those that can, who can stop abdul coming deep facing the wrong way, a manager who's not afraid to try different unfashionable formations if it gets a better performance out of the players

Realistic Managerial Replacements
splinterdream replied to winteriscoming's topic in Leicester City Forum
maybe the new manager can suggest a technical director -
I guess they'll ask Marti what can be done about the present situation, he'll say they know whats wrong and will do better, he'll maybe moan about the wind and rain, and the expectations of the fans, Aiywatt will agree, Rudkin will nod and agree, and they'll all be kisses and hugs, with it written into Martis contract that he should never wear that bin bag inspired puffa jacket again, but wear a Thai inspired Leicester coat as punishment

We pushed so high to try and get a goal back, it was shit or bust, thats why he wasn't there. The system we had yesterday ended with Okoli with the majority of the ball (see WYS podcast analysis as to why this is happening, and why its an issue). I'm not advocating for the system, i'm just saying he's probably our best player on the ball and him and Nelson are probably our best combination. Looking at the system and players we have, I tend to think our best form of defense, is all out attack, and vestegaard could be useful in set piece situations, he's just the best we've got at present.
-
As annoying as Vestegaard is, he is currently one of our best players. He is one of the only players that can thread a pass, and some are exceptional, the reason they don't amount to anything is be caused our forward line is crap. He actually started to cause issues playing up front, and imo should have been done earlier. We should if behind look to swap abdul and stephy and just have them running the lines putting balls into the box. We do not have good enough, confident enough players to pass through midfield

Pressure is really getting to them 😂
splinterdream replied to Happy Fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
I may be wrong, but didn't hear any 'pressure from the stands' before Oxfords first goal, and anyhow, what a stupid comment to make. These players are paid alot of money to perform. If you go to a West end show, do you not think those performers are under pressure because of expectations? Blokes a clown -
I wasn't surprised he wasn't sacked yesterday. Got a pretty terrible memory but from my recollection we don't do sacking on day of the match, normally its a day or 2 after, so if nothing by end of today, i'd imagine it's not happening. I reckon they'll give him Charlton

Is this the worse it’s ever been?
splinterdream replied to Nolucklcfc's topic in Leicester City Forum
i see it this way........you've had a series of girlfriends, and because you're fairly ordinary, your girlfriends have always been a bit rough, some worse than others, but you're used to it as you know no better, so it's okay, but then this absolute stunner is into you, and you're on another planet and can't believe your luck, and think this is it for life, but outside forces ruin it, and it's over, and you're back to the rough girlfriends, but those girlfriends don't seem so attractive anymore, as you think you should be doing better, despite others telling you, you're a fairly ordinary fella, so should be happy with what you have. so in short, we have seen it before, but this time it feels a lot worse -
Is he really on £50k a week?

ITS OFFICIAL we are in a relegation battle
splinterdream replied to Joe90's topic in Leicester City Forum
What on earth are you watching? We've been turned over by Oxford, who were rubbish btw, but had to end the game with vestegaard up front. We had absolutely nothing, we have no idea how to play the game, if Marti isn't sacked after today, it means we can't afford to sack him, if thats so, we're deffo finished -
i get this
-
What price are we to get relegated?
-
I'm not sure, he was one of those in charge after Brendan for a couple of games and made a complete hash of it. I'm sure he has good football knowledge but maybe a bit behind in the times. Kingy would have a lot of knowledge of what Stowelly is all about.
-
Excellent podcast analysis on WYS. Stowelly doesn't hold back on his criticism, but tbh the analysis shows how inept Marti and the coaching staff are
-
Do we know how much seagrave costs to maintain? That's got to be a huge financial commitment to us when the owner won't put a penny in, it could be what puts us into administration. I see the club are selling tickets for £20 adults for Oxford game, absolute desperation
-
The club is in a downward spiral and no one in football wants to be part of that
-
doesn't want to get injured and scupper a new contract with another club, can't blame him really
-
We've just got to hope that he's pre agreed to sign for us in the summer should we take up their offer
-
-
We need signings, we need ramsey to be fit, we need a striker, we need a LB, and i think we might need a keeper
-
Perhaps Thomas is the best we've got, perhaps the distance covered stats and sprint stats are low because we're playing with those senior citizens, and maybe those are OAPs are the best we've got. The game could have been wrapped up in the first half.
-
Mate, those senior citizens were dynamite in the first half, what let him down was he didn't have the confidence in the replacements. He takes off Ayew and has to bring on Daka, who is absolutely useless. Monga for Stephy isnt working, he isn't ready, if anyone should have been dragged up top it should have been abdul. Yes I know, lets play Aluko, Evans and Page, but Marti see's these players in training, perhaps its the case that he needs more players to beat top of the league away from home?
-
He isn't the best manager, but nothing will change with any manager, we are way short of a squad capable of competing for top 6
-
Listen, I know i'm gonna get pelters, but first half we looked superb, but we have 3 senior citizens in the side, and Luke Thomas. JJ is also such a legend, he doesnt know how to pace himself and burns out before the 90. Marti is no Pep, but we're not Man City. I don't think I'm ready for Marti out
-
On Sky to Sharkey - 21 games without a clean sheet..... yes that is a major problem 🤣
