Dunno about pubs but the River Cafe (not the River Cafe) opposite Putney Bridge station does brilliant fry ups. And there's a great second hand bookshop just up the road.

Very true in my experience that Anglophones care much more about correct pronunciation of foreign names than in other countries. Similarly we are more awkward about using translations of place names (e.g. Peking).

Obviously paid attention during religious education

Didn't think much to Cheltenham when I passed through in May but the countryside around it is lovely. We stayed in Winchcombe and loved it. I'm always surprised how much people like Kings Lynn considering I grew up there and generally couldn't wait to get out but it does have a nice historic centre and some beautiful countryside to the north east.

It's often the same people who leave early before half time, then come back late after half time. So I don't think it's always to do with needing to leave early. The number of people now leaving even 5-10 minutes before half time has really increased in the last few years, not just at Leicester. Cannot understand it.

Because it impacts other people's experience, and creates a worse atmosphere. Some of the scenes from last season were embarrassing, and from personal experience having to stand up or swing your legs round so multiple people can leave early is ****ing annoying. If you're going to do that at least get a seat at the end of a row as I've done for some night games because I have to leg it for the last train.

Italians are loud but they don't shout in pubs. Plus a lot of dining is done outside anyway which is better. Not been much to Spain and never to the US. Can imagine Americans being bad but they don't tend to drink as much in my experience.
