  1. I always liked it there. The ales were very aley, no juicy pales.
  2. Was just going to mention Jerusalem/ Holy Tavern. Is it still St Peter's brewery?
  3. "The BBC won't give an award to an Irish Catholic because he's not a minority" is a take dripping in historical irony
  4. Maybe once
  5. Quentin Tarantino, consistently and in so many ways
  6. Would say that the Strokes are the most influential band of the last 30 years.
  7. I think we need to ban @Lionator for our own sanity. Had a nightmare last night where I was huddled up in the corner of a subterranean bomb shelter, nuclear fallout swirling around above ground. Twiddling the knobs of a radio I finally get a signal, hoping it'll be an announcement from the government that the war against the Russian American coalition is over. Instead I hear a crackly voice announce.... "This season's delayed Europa League final was won by Nottingham Forest"...
  8. That's Vance who was vehemently anti Trump until it suited his career not to be?
  9. Ward would've gently fallen in the opposite direction
  10. The guy is tearing up defences in one of the hardest leagues in the world at nearly 39. Should be a national hero.
  11. The algorithms have been serving me up World Cup 1998 highlights this week, not that I'm complaining, and my god the 98 Holland squad was outrageously good. To think how they might have done against France in the final....
  12. Henry VI has so much to answer for
  13. A lot of people on the British left have obviously never forgiven Eastern Europeans for breaking free from communism which is why they like to portray their countries as corrupt shitholes that deserve to be ruled by Russia.
  14. Anti imperialist, anti war Trump once again distinguishing himself from the neoliberal establishment
  15. what the **** are you doing Ayew
  16. ffs. so ****ing pissed off
  17. one of the best goals of the season so far
  18. Pretty ambivalent towards Madders. Very talented player who played a lot of good football during a pretty good spell for us. Seems like a good guy. But didn't really produce any iconic moments and contributed very little to our second greatest achievement in our history. And the bottom line is, as the post above points out, his very shit penalty basically relegated us, and he'll be remembered for that as much as e.g. the performance against Arsenal in autumn 2019. Such is football.
  19. @Sly we get it you have a big telly
  20. Mavididi is no Mahrez
  21. a lot of American fascism seems to stem from a deep insecurity that the Euros are saying mean things about them when we should be kissing their arses
  22. Kate who?
