  1. As someone who doesn't really bet, can you explain what this could suggest (or if it means anything at all)? Is it suggesting that more people have backed Potter NOT to get the job?
  2. Might be worth it tbh, even if it only saves 15/20 minutes it will save some stress. Yeah let me know, my flight's also at 8am - was planning on rocking up at 5.30/6am but I'm thinking if it's still like this we'll be aiming to get in the queue for 5am as one guy said it took about 1hr 40 to get through.
  3. Oh dear. The videos/photos on twitter don't look great. I don't fly out until the summer so I'm hoping they'll have got their act together by then as the kids will be a nightmare. Good luck next week!
  4. Anyone flown out of Birmingham recently? Saw a few videos on Twitter/X of queues outside and it taking people ages to get through to departures. Anyone know how long this will be going on for?
  5. He's just been spotted at the KP
  6. I can second the Shires, had a good one in there last year. Also the Golden Fleece in South Croxton. Not been in there for a couple of years but they used to do a great carvery.
  7. I know it's been mentioned loads already but I cannot stand the massive Adidas logo. It is way too big. Annoying that it will be on ours as well, it should be half of the size as it just dominates the front.
  8. Saw Ayoze Perez bagged and assisted one last night for Spain. Never saw him getting close to the national team when he was with us so fair play.
  9. If it is Cooper I think as a fan base we need to get behind him (same counts for whoever it is tbh) and we need to build a kind of siege mentality next season. Starting with restrictions and a points deduction, it is going to be a tough season. If we're at the manager before he's even walked in the door we've got no chance.
  10. I can't work out if that's a joke or if you're being serious.

    Jordan James

    He's Welsh. (He's Finnish. He's not finished he's only 28!)
  12. Yes! It's almost like he's perfect for Sky Sports News though, sometimes they have to fill hours with the same old stories every day and he must buy them at least a couple of hours a day with the fact it takes him about 3 times longer than a normal person to say a simple sentence.
  13. Is that not just for teams that will be in the EFL next season though?
  14. Interesting though, a Villa fan at work said he thinks it's been inflated. One of their owners, Nassef Sawiris, also owns a 7% stake in Adidas so you can see why people might thinks it's a little dodgy. Obviously it's nothing on the likes of Chelsea and Man City though.
  15. Balague is one of the biggest brown nosers I've ever seen. He will literally just write whatever just to try and fluff his mate Enzo - will be glad to see the back of this a**ehole.
  16. A silly one that probably shouldn't annoy me but it does is the use of 'BREAKING NEWS' for the most mundane or pointless news stories. Obviously with everything going on I'm keeping an eye on the likes of Sky Sports News for announcements and up pops 'BREAKING' Aston Villa unveil updated badge! WTF - the term Breaking News used to be reserved for unexpected or important stories, now it just seems to be used for anything.
  17. All you can say is thank you to the guy for coming in after a tough couple of years with Rodgers and galvanising the team/players and getting us straight back up. However, personally with how things have gone the last couple of weeks and his seemingly eagerness to go to London and speak to Chelsea I can say I'm glad he's going. A little bit of arrogance is fine however this guy has had moments where he's acted a little bit above his station. A few thinly veiled threats of leaving if fans don't like his style of play, stubbornness that it was his way or the high way which effectively made the end of the season a lot closer than it should have been, no plan b in some games we should have put to bed. I think fair enough for last season it was nice to enjoy being a fan again for a while but if you're not fully onside, see you later. I can see it going really really well next season at Chelsea or being a complete disaster, a big part of me hopes it's the latter.
  18. Who said I believed it? I've put on here before I will be very surprised if it's more than 6 and that it couldn't be 10 or more as that's what you get for administration. I was purely stating that I don't know why or where they pull these ridiculous numbers from and why they don't get called out on it.
  19. The airport that's in Leicestershire, somehow has a Derby postcode but they call it EMA Nottingham
  20. Jeff Stelling this morning on TalkSport said we're expecting a points deduction of somewhere between 6 and 15 points. Where do they keep pulling these numbers from?
  21. Just looked and I think it was the 05/06 JJB/Alliance & Leicester shirt
  22. I like it, like the inclusion of yellow on the home shirt, when was the last time we had that?
  23. I personally think given the choice McKenna goes to United as he knows the club and tbh it's the biggest club job in England. I think that leaves the door open at Chelsea however like others have said, there are so many big name managers available this summer I'd be very surprised if Maresca is offered that job. I think he'll still be here come game 1.
