  1. Who are you flying with? I went with Jet2 a few weeks ago now around the same time in the morning and I think most, if not all, of the issues they were having were sorted out. We didn't have to queue outside and all in all we were in and through the security bit in around 40 mins. Jet2 seemed to have their own entrance to security though so not sure if it's the same for other airlines but I imagine with kids going back to school now most airports should be dying down anyway.
  2. I can't imagine you'll be able to do anything online (I might be wrong) so I'd give them a call. There'll be plenty of space to move to so you'd imagine they'd be able to help with this fairly easily.
  3. Absolutely. Everything comes full circle I suppose, in a few years time I can see the club emailing out begging fans to buy tickets for games when the demand isn't there.
  4. It's not, each individual ticket has to be allocated to a different person. So again, I've got to fill in a form 5 separate times if I want 5 new people to attend. I should just be able to login and buy 6 tickets.
  5. Yeah that's fine for you and for me and for those who have been to games recently. The matter of fact is that, for a game like this where there are likely to be 20K empty seats available, it should be as easy as going on the website, filling in a few details and purchasing however many tickets you need. If A random who's not been to a game before and fancies a new experience, maybe taking a few kids to their first games, you shouldn't have to be signing up 6 different accounts to buy 6 tickets. Most people will likely not bother, as you will see with the attendance tonight.
  6. A game that will struggle to sell many tickets and with so many different barriers to buying them for yourself, for a plus one or for your friends and family. I hope the attendance is our lowest ever at the KP tonight, maybe that will make the club sit up and see it for themselves as I don't think they realise how many people that are excluding from not just games in the present but the next generation of potential fans as well.
  7. Not sure about anyone else but I think that the binge drinking culture in the UK has definitely toned down a little over the last 5 - 10 years. Early to late noughties (hate that word) it was rife across the UK with nightlife in most cities teaming, nowadays I don't think it's anywhere near as bad as it was - think 'Booze Britain' days. May be just me though.
  8. This one probably isn't the most memorable and didn't really take that much skill but it's one I always think back to because of the events of the day before and after the game. I think it was back in 2013 when we played Middlesborough at home. It started snowing so bad a few hours before the game that pretty much all roads into Leicester were either gridlocked to a standstill or impassable. I had to dump my car about an hours walk from the ground as I wasn't going to make it otherwise, walked through probably the worst weather I've ever experienced in Leicester but just made it to the ground in time for the game. The weather had caused that many problems getting into the city and to the ground that I think in the end we only got around 8000 in attendance. Anyway, long story short, we were winning 1-0 and I think with pretty much the last kick of the game Boro won a penalty and I was cursing my luck for even bothering to make the walk in just for us to end up settling for a draw right at the death. Kasper though ultimately made the save and it was all worthwhile in the end. After the game there were no buses or taxis available as they couldn't drive on the roads, so it ended up being another long trek back to the car, but a really happy one anyway.
  9. The GOAT. What a man. Get the statue built please Top.
  10. Still a mad kit but makes a lot more sense now!
  11. It's cool, it's edgy. Down with da kids. #createiconic
  12. Is there a link between the club and pina colada's? ABsolutely bizarre if not, imagine if for Leicester's 150-year anniversary and we decided to bring out a kit inspired by a mojito
  13. He's 100% just some 14-year old in his bedroom bored in the summer holidays.
  14. "Ooh, I know a nickname that the team had 61 years ago and you don't! - Plastics!"
  15. I'm not ashamed to admit I had to google it as I'd never heard of that before and I've been a fan for 30+ years.
  16. People keep mentioning the League 1 years, the relegation the year before was probably one of the lowest points (in my life) as a Leicester supporter but the League 1 season itself was brilliant. Proper fans, games, real grounds and we were the best team in the league. Was one of the best seasons in my life as a fan, regardless of it being in the 3rd tier. This season, we've been promoted as Champions and are back in the the PL but there is just little to no connection left with the club at all. I've never been this disconnected like many others have said. I was able to get on and look at tickets for Monday's game and the cheapest seat I could find was £55 - absolutely no chance am I paying that. Looks like Tranmere and any other potential home cup games will be it for me this season, unless they somehow manage to f*** up the pricing for those games as well.
  17. Where's your source for this?
  18. I think you can be pro or anti King Power or even somewhere in the middle but I will never understand actively wanting the club to fail.
  19. All these teams getting 'retro' 3rd/Away kits from Adidas, I hope ours is along the same lines. Would like one with the old running fox logo and the adidas trefoil, would be a sell-out for sure.
  20. And before anyone says 'it's where we are now' or 'thats the financial situation we're in'. We need to ask why? Why are we in this situation and why has seemingly no one at the club taken any kind of rap for it?
  21. Does anyone else remember the 'lotto lout' guy, some average chav in the UK who won the lottery and then like 2 years later was a bin man because he'd blown all of his money and lost everything he'd bought by going bankrupt. In the last 8 years we've won the PL, played in the CL, won the FA cup and also were like the 5th or 6th on the list of highest transfer revenue received from our outgoing transfers. No disrespect to Buonanotte as I actually quite rate him but the fact we're scrambling to loan a player off Brighton after all of that - I can't quite understand how or why we've so badly messed up financially. And also can't quite understand how we (as fans) aren't more up in arms and uproar about the running of the financial side of things, the sales, the Macquarie loans, relegation etc. What the hell has gone on the last few years. Training ground aside, where has all the money gone?
  22. Mods dishing out bans in the news thread...
  23. Do we think they'll do any preseason games at the KP? Was hoping I might get to see them play at least once this season
  24. “The non investment years prior to king power”. You mean our whole existence as a club prior to 2010? Like I said, I get football is a business and I understand PSR means clubs are apparently clawing for money where they can. But I have always felt LCFC were ‘one of the good guys’ and made decisions that represented our standing as a family club and part of the community of Leicester. We can be successful on and off the pitch without having to sell our soul.
