There's some very bitter people on here. He single-handedly stopped us conceding an embarrassing amount earlier on in the season. Given he was injured earlier on in the season and we have form for playing players through injury it's not surprising he hasn't been at the same level. I'll wish him well.

Doing some reading and at Wednesday he's handling contract extensions, negotiating transfers and booking hotels himself on top all of the coaching duties. Additionally in a few games he's been very direct and played long to Ugbo/Smith, so he's not a short at all costs ideologue. I'd be in favour

Nothing they’ve achieved is based on merit? You can’t actually buy the league as Chelsea and United’s current spending shows. They’ve spent a lot but appointed good managers and bought good players. Essentially every rich club has never done anything meritocratically if you take that strain of thought to its conclusion. Chelsea are worse off spending all this money which is what’s funny about it. If they were 20% leaner they’d be exponentially better - they’re like the deluxe version of us under Sven/KP.

Having said that I like the pub, 70s upholstery, carpet and a proper bar. Aylestone aside from Clarendon park is the best suburb within the city boundary for drinking.

We sorely missed him when he was first injured and probably our best player under Cooper after Buonanotte. He was also pretty good last season in a much changed role.

I’m really bad at articulating my thoughts on this, but we hemmed ourselves in with FFP and overspent anyway. Other clubs (Everton, Newcastle, Villa, Chelsea, Forest) weren’t terrified, spent what they needed and dealt with any penalties. They also orchestrated PSR swindle deals and do whatever they needed to do. We threw away our best ever position because we shat our pants about it when everybody else was blasé enough to not care. The rules are crap but we’ve been weirdly semi-compliant but neither got our house in order OR just went balls to the wall.

Why are we even in a legal dispute with either league? Because we spend too much money on shit players.

We've stopped functioning as a team, picking through the bones of individuals is barley worth it because two shit managers have masked any individual ability.
