There is so much leverage in just paying a director of football good money. Clubs will spend tens of thousands of pounds a week on back up players. Smithies probably cleared a million in his season here but baulk at the idea of paying backroom staff properly. The director of football is arguably the most important long term role at a club and they probably get paid a few hundred thousand a year. Ironically, for the right director of football the Leicester job would be great because you have too much autonomy. Any semi-competent director of football from Braga, Feyenoord, Union SG etc type clubs would be a big step up for us. Everything I hear down the grapevine about Rudkin is that he seems to think he's some sort of administrator rather than strategic drive behind the club. What's happened to us makes sense.

Liverpool's pubs seem far less revered too, I probably see about 5 sodding photos of the Peveril every week. The Philharmonic is just as photogenic.

I’m probably a 99th percentile KP/Rudkin outer and I even would have said one signing, a £3m right back with 6 months left is on the nose

We’ve had some sacks of shit in our time by this c unt is right up there. The last time he played was for 3 minutes on the 10th of November.

Seemed a bit convenient to me

Have you been? It’s not viable. I agree about the fanbase though.

Playing in a dominant team, plus one was a massive deflection. He’s a midtable championship player.

The atmosphere was shit against Spurs

Seagrave is a nightmare to get into or even nearby. A protest there is logistically difficult - the ground makes the most sense.

It’s incredibly we were ever good with this lot running the show.

What the f ucking hell are we playing at? Don't look a gifthorse in the mouth.

I don't think he'd be worse

Looks shit anyway but You can just imagine Rudkin's text-to-speech garbling wingers names as he keeps missing the hole from his office golf set, him thumbing through different notebooks looking for Lazz-io's chairmans number, getting through, garbling Tchaouna's name, getting nowhere, putting the phone down to return to watching Sky Sports News. PSV Eindhoven have reached an agreement with Loum Tchaouna on personal terms. "Oh, what's Gradel doing these days, he was a winger right?"

True but a CEO just has to in a way the DoF doesn't. No puns intended here but across the board and top to bottom the club has been awfully ran. Charity donations, coconut, donut and beer giveaways have completely masked incompetence away from footballing matters too like bare-faced lies on tickets/coaches, awful pricing and denial of general sale.

Both but Rudkin (+the board) out is far more likely. He has to be the first target of any protest action. If Rudkin gets heat it means Top does too indirectly, as they are so inextricably linked. It also means Top has to switch on and appoint a successor, if we're still shit (99% likely because he's clueless) then the pressure ramps up at him.

Only through obligation, really. Most of the time she just trots the club line on issue under the guide of listening. She could have forced through real change but never has. She was spotted at a cafe standing event sometime in 2013, here we are 12 years later as one of the 6 clubs without it in the PL.

This should be good news in theory, it’s fantastic but very cramped in there. Hopefully with better opening hours too as it’s less residential.

Ichnusa is my favourite but I was referring to what you see readily available here

Poretti > Moretti > Peroni

The step from five pints to six is the most hangover consequential I think. Had five fairly late on Saturday and was a touch groggy, anymore would have tipped over the edge.

Ghezzal for £12m was also a gross overpayment in 18/19. He was unwanted after a single season at Monaco, he signed on a free and they shifted him for £12,000,000 - such a philanthropist. That was £24m we could have used towards a proper right winger to replace Mahrez. IIRC Raphinha scored 17 goals for Vitoria Guimaraes in 17/18 before moving to Sporting for about £7m. Naturally, Ghezzal went for about £2.5m after we loaned him out for two years, so on those two dossers we spent £24m, made a loss of £21.5m and paid them probably circa £20m in wages too. It’s the classic Rudkin cycle of 1. Be in for a player that no one else is, that 75% of us wouldn’t sign 2. Still take a long time to get the deal over the line 3. Overpay on the fee and wages to actually get the deal over the line 4. The player is predictably rubbish 5. Try and sell, can’t because the wages are too high 6. Get an offer but reject because it’s £500k too low 7. Loan the player out (repeat step 6 if the loan club put an offer in) 8. Leave on a free

Like the club secretary I think.

My heart skipped a beat too

Top directly and indirectly. The statement after relegation was probably untrue too. I doubt he got any abuse directed at him because nobody can access him.

With a fishing rod, chicken and four cans of lager?
