The one thing conceivably putting players off is the FFP/PSR cloud. You’d just hold out for a better offer in the summer. Of course those issues are entirely of our own making.
-
They just lie and lie and lie. They lie about ticket collections in Europe being mandatory - they’re not. They lied completely about mandatory coaches for the FA cup final. Again it comes back to the total lack of standards. The owner doesn’t notice or doesn’t care the senior directors and managers can’t or won’t do their jobs properly.

Bryter Moon is great. It’s about the only place in the city centre that has a good range of local produce. It’s a massive shame a cafe shows up pubs on stocking local beer.

Bournemouth away headloss. Spurs @ H 16/17.

Stems from the zero accountability culture. Why put yourself in the firing line when there’s zero pressure to get results? You get only get grief for being o one fo the few man enough to do it. The players will know they’re on too much money, they’ll know Rudkin is a soft touch and their agents pull the wool over his eyes. Just doing the easy thing is what’s incentivised. Top is just too pally with the squad and too close with Rudkin. If the owner isn’t going to bollock staff or players then the director of football should. Instead we have two meek characters in the most senior footballing positions. Everybody can get away with murder at Disneyland FC. Get promoted after a shambolic relegation and it’s a trip to Monaco - the players must love Top because they take him for a ride with no consequences - even when they f uck up again and again.

Going into this season playing a worse back four than last time is just cuckoo and downstream from our ability of never shifting anyone.
-
Don’t care either way, hope he walks and lifts the lid on how badly we’re ran.

Soumare is like putting a 900cc engine into a Range Rover. Should be athletic but he just isn’t - Doucoure is thrice the player.

Ayew runs down blind alleys so often

Top …. out the f ucking club up for sale
-
Soumare and Winks just aren’t anywhere near good enough without the ball
-
I’d respect it if he pitched up for a year, maybe two then went to a top club after but I don’t think that’ll be the case.

Forgetting to ask for milk when ordering a coffee (or tea) abroad is right up there with unintentionally buying sparkling water abroad - as quite annoying things you do - abroad.

Patrick Wimmer - enquired about loan, Wolfsburg only want to sell

Fbref have his stats profiled as a midfielder rather than a winger so they look better graphically than they actually are. -
Any recommendations for Belgium? I’ve been to Bruges but that was for the CL game and I essentially stayed in the same spot for about 18 hours as I didn’t have a ticket. Some combination of Bruges, Brussels and one other (Ghent/Antwerp) seems perfectly doable.

@VLC86 iirc

A bloke traversing a decent distance to wave a pack of tissues at the Spurs fan in the cap was funny

Just a bizarre hatchet job, I didn’t think Shakey was up to it as a manager but the too clever by half line is just completely vapid conjecture. Ashton has always been shit.

Excellent post. Top and Rudkin never seem to learn. They’ve never backed up successful appointments by bringing in a continuity candidate. Maresca to Cooper is just such a wild lurch. I don’t buy the ‘He’s the only one that wanted it’ line given we turn spent £50m+ net before the verdict was in. It’s more like the club thought he was the only one that would want it, which is just a complete dereliction of duty. Consistent with the Puel appointment too, we were aware of him and he was cheap. RVN the same.
-
“Whatever Shakey said about it, he always looked a bit shifty sitting in Ranieri’s place at press conferences and in the dugout. Shakespeare, with that permanent too-clever-by-half look about him, always appeared like a man who had been up to no good.“ Baseless bollocks - even then

The amount of street furniture now is completely overwhelming. Double yellows, bollards, traffic calming measures, signs etc makes streets far uglier -
Ordinarily based on his injury history it's a swerve but with his contract situation the risk is worth it, providing we don't stick him on silly wages. So welcome, Tariq #2030, £95,000 pw.
-
Because of his age and his contract, we’d look to sell him for more but based on his output so far I don’t think anyone will pay that (yet).
-
I didn’t want to like Fontaines DC but they’ve grown on me
-
He’s on a long contract, PSR wise that wouldn’t even be particularly beneficial - he also strikes me as being a good pro. We’d have to hold out for £25m and that’s a lot of money to pay almost entirely for potential.
