Will FFP decision affect our performances ?
Stadt replied to marcymarc666's topic in Leicester City Forum
He was pretty cagey at Forest. Primarily 3 at the back, sat deep, terrible away form. His PL record from 59 games is 12 - 17 - 30 59 scored and 105 conceded. Now the comforting thing to do is say he had a mental squad at Forest (true) but he went cagey. We had the opposite of an overhaul at Leicester and he's still cagey. We've accumulated the 2nd lowest xG so far only ahead of Ipswich (genuinely difficult fixtures). Villa and Spurs are good sides but they're leaky. In fact Spurs, Villa and Fulham all conceded exactly 61 goals last season. His sides are good for a goal a game, it's not the fixture list, it's just how he manages. It might work better now we don't have a deduction and we can afford to draw more games but when it looked like we'd need 45 points to stay up he was the wrong appointment. -
I also want Top and Whelan out so it's not all on Rudkin. If we lost the legal appeal that wouldn't have been Rudkin's fault, obviously. He's a large part of why we had to do it in the first place though. He was DoF when the good stuff happened, true but it was primarily under a different owner in Vichai. Rudkin can take the credit for bringing Rodgers in but we all know how that ended. I don't think anybody thinks he's an all powerful executive but he is the director of football at a football club and the football part has been particularly shoddy recently. So it's a combination of Top and Rudkin making the bad decisions. I think the Rudkin out, Top in brigade are in denial tbh. Top isn't cut out for the role as evidenced by his don't be mean to me statement after we got relegated. We were promised a review after we got relegated and the findings weren't announced, nor do we even know if it happened.

Rudkin runs the football side as confirmed by Sam Wallace in the Telegraph in 23. A normal business would have the right checks and balances in place but it’s pretty ckear we don’t run that way. Who on earth would sign off on deals like Ayew & Skipp otherwise? I think Top is negligent at best, Whelan I don’t think has the authority to veto footballing decisions. So with a badly ran footballing arm he has to carry the can for that. Nobody is vetoing anything above him by the looks of things.
-
If the head of manufacturing at a plant kept making poor decisions messing up production would it not jeopardise the overall financial picture? I also want Top gone so it’s not just Rudkin.
-
Not his remit. It’d be Whelan or the finance director.

How do you know it would be better if we sacked him!!

Denmark outside of Copenhagen is fine. Beer was like £4 in Aarhus a couple of years ago.

That is the angle that I’m half-enjoying. I’d scrap FFP and PSR, it’s not like it’s prevented Everton from ****ing themselves over. Still funny Rick Parry got announced at the Blackburn game and was summarily booed

I don’t feel jubilant at avoiding a points deduction. We’ve been a disaster off the pitch and and escaping a deduction through loopholes just feels hollow. “One Nick De Marco” or whatever is just wank

Had some at an Italian restaurant in Castleton on Saturday, it’s excellent. It’s paradoxical the Italians make such good beer and have so few places to drink it. That’s why I think the best continental Irish pubs are in Italy.

Ayew is good at protecting leads we’ll never have, winning fouls and Reid is really good at… at… err at…

Valencia’s attendances are toss. Unless they get cheaper which I doubt - what’s the point?

I liked him at first but he wears thin so quickly.

3 games in, 1 point, overall assessment …

Exactly as I feared. Cooper is a negative manager and he’s not going to take the handbrake off any time soon. With a points deduction looming he was always the wrong manager because he doesn’t have the capability to take a side to 45 points. If you have him this Brighton side I think he’d just scrape 50. He’s more Pulis than Pep. -

If they were 1. Bundesliga clubs and they wanted to start him we should have done it. Bellingham and Sancho blossomed playing over there. -
I never said that he should be starting. A few minutes isn’t good enough at a crucial juncture in his career. Needs to play and if it’s not here it should be on loan.
