  1. There's fans on here who are happy just to constantly revise down their expectations of the club. If some were told we'd be relegated in the summer of 2022 they'd rightly be furious and demand change, by the time it happened they accepted it. Maybe it's because we won things we never expected but the "What do you expect attitude" is just so crap. What's the point in going or watching if you're just invariably fine with demonstrably avoidable failures each time. I just can't get into the frame of mind where I'd reflexively be ok with poor decision making, or insist managers needed more time, or it's not the DoF/or the owner's fault/recruitment team's fault.
  2. Bleach, if I have to watch Cooper's Leicester 5 more times
  3. He's won 12 out of 60 PL games, I can't believe there's people that think he just needs time. 55 points in 60 games. 11 points in his last 18 PL games. xG - 19th xGA - 13th Shots - 19th SoT - 18th Shot distance - 20th Our fixtures have been relatively kind too, 3 home games plus Palace and Fulham away. It's not going to click at any point because he's a negative manager.
  4. We could have appointed Emery early on in 22/23 but Rudkin was infatuated with Rodgers…
  5. A loss would have been a great result if it meant he was sacked. We avoided one points deduction but we’ve got another in the dug out.
  6. We've demolished far too many historic buildings, it's a standard ugly British city centre for the most part. The transport links bit is a reach too. It's the worst connected big city on the country via rail
  7. I’ll take your word for it
  8. Pizzas are often shit in Italy

  11. He was a loanee and squad player, not sure his view is all that indicative
  12. Bang on about the voice notes, why don’t they vet the submissions better. It’s always an Arsenal fan sounding accent recording like they’ve just thrown up hungover.

  16. Uh oh
  17. 8 or so Leicester fans (including a Polish bloke) 2 Liverpool 1 Forest
  18. One of the best Everard’s pubs there is.
  19. Good post. Maresca was a complete ideologue in terms of system but he used different players quite well. Vardy, Cannon, Daka, & Iheanacho all had a run last season and added a different dimension each. He also used Praet, Akgun, McAteer, WMM sparingly but well which was resourceful . I despise the idea that pragmatism = putting men behind the ball or direct footbsll. When facing the prospect of a points deduction the pragmatic thing is to be very attacking.
  20. The Liverpool preseason and League Cup game under Maresca were a good glimpse of what we'd be like in the PL. We'd be dangerous, create chances and score goals but we'd be a bit open. I'd back us to stay up if we had a manager whose teams scored more than literally a goal a game on average.

  22. It was two points dropped and Cooper was cowardly with the approach and substitutions, it's hardly objectionable.
  23. Had a Triple Hop golden best bitter, unusual for a bitter by Brunswick Brewery (the Everard's pub in Derby) at the Stamford, very nice.
  24. Great analysis, particularly on Ndidi - I think he’s probably overly maligned just through familiarity. He’s not perfect but he’s reliably defensively and he’s this strange often rolls a 6 six type offensive threat. As for Cooper’s subs, nothing to add but it’s just so brain dead
  25. I don’t know why but it feels like our fan base places far too much on a manager’s media persona. Cooper is a nice, honest, humble chap and because of that he ingratiates himself with the fanbase. We’re shit but as he’s got lots on side more are willing to give him time (to do exactly the same thing over again). His PL PPG and away records are appalling, the longer he’s the more likely we are to go down. Yet again it’s languid managerial recruitment getting us in the shit. It’s remarkable we’re in 2025 and we’ve still never appointed a manager directly from a foreign country. Cooper - out of work, local Smith (not the same I know) - out of work, local Rodgers - We did actually do well here but we left him in post far too long because we had no back up/succession plan Puel - Out of work after an uninspiring Saints season Shakespeare - Already at the club Ranieri - Out of work, applied for the job Pearson - Previously at the club, allegedly forced out in the first instance Sven - Out of work, big name Sousa - Appointed from Swansea, disastrous fit with squad
