Jury is out with BEK but I like the look of him. Edouard and Buonanotte, fine. Abdul doesnβt count. The rest of our business is shit. Β£8m for uncle Ayew, Β£25m for Matty James, 31 year old Reid on a 3 year deal. Terrible job of shifting deadwood as always.

Hawkstone is so so good. Had one a few weeks ago in Wyggeston house and couldn't stop thinking about it for days

I guess there's more clubs willing to take on loan players as the window is closing but the best loans are sorted early. Barnes joined West Brom in July that year, really helps a player settle when they have more time on the training pitch as well as moving from home.
-
He's genuinely so wank at his job. Strategically - Scattergun targets in non-priority positions Financially - We overpay, poor negotiators, lost lots of players on frees Operationally - Silva debacle The glacial speed at which we do things is a big problem. I wish I could just wave a magic wand and we had an average owner, board and DoF - it'd be a marked improvement.

Alves could be a mainstay for 15 years or make us shed loads of money, stunting his development for the sake of cover is short sighted. Get him on loan or play him, he's not a backup.
-
Aw man but this time I really thought it'd be different!

Cooper's reputation is so different to his reality. He's apparently a great coach that wants to keep the ball on the deck and build up with short passes whilst being great with youth. The reality is low block, negative football and target men with past it PL proven journeymen or assorted physical nobodies.

Overdue I think but a great move for him, one to watch

Marc Albrighton Retires From Football
Stadt replied to urban.spaceman's topic in Leicester City Forum
Seems incredibly normal in that he wants to stay in the midlands with his family. I'm sure he could get a deal in the US, Australia, India etc It's actually quite refreshing to see a player happy with their lot. I guess that sums him up, a spectacularly modest player (no malice intended there). -
I'd second the Budapest suggestion. It's cheap, accessible, something for everyone with the ruin bars, thermal baths, culture, sights. I like stodgy central/eastern euro food so goulash and too much paprika in everything is great. Have a Hungarian Melange coffee too, they're amazing. Pinball museum is another must. Alternatively, Prague is cheap and has loads to see and do. Kutna Hora and Sedlec Ossuary (chapel with thousands of ornate human bone sculptures) are with hopping 40 minutes on the train for too. February will be cheap for both.

I was obviously joking - Iβm one of the foremost Rudkin outers on the site

Iβm getting ready to eat my words as Friday approaches and Rudkin lands everything we need!

England in the Euros were a prime example of stifled build up through a lack of balance.
-
There's a lot of issues with Daka's game but denying his pace is daft
-
Much happier with this sort of upwardly mobile signing. He's the sort even when we go down he's expensive enough he'll have to stay. Seems like he works hard for a flair player too.
-
I was a pretty staunch Rudkin outer but credit itβs where it due. We needed bodies in goal and another workman in midfield so he's bought himself time as far as Iβm concerned

I liked Knudsen, it was a shame he left. I think we'd have been better off with him in charge vs Bournemouth rather than Stowell and Sadler.
-
Thereβs plenty of people that owe their careers to Rudkin at the club which is always worth remembering. This is a man that knows the value of acolytes.

I was never a fan particularly as a manager but he heralded some huge changes for us a club. Nugent and Schmeichel were crucial in an unfathomable decade for us and without Sven and his part to play our success wouldnβt have happened. He also brought a touch of fun and grandiosity, it felt like itβd all work out even when it didnβt. But first and foremost he seemed like a total gent and as others have said - what a life to have lived. RIP Sven, thanks for the memories.

People try too hard to counter signal popular things sometimes. The buzz around these Oasis gigs is almost self-fulfilling.
