The median player is better now. Even controlling for technical ability they're much fitter, more tactically aware and composed in possession. You're right every era has its bad layers but a bad player in 2024 is better than a bad 2004 equivalent

Watch a game, there's lots of aimless hoofing (AKA losing the ball time and time again) - even in the Champions League. There's very little pressure on the ball which is jarring as a modern viewer. It's romanticism, look I'm not a fan particularly of slow build up football, especially for the below average teams in the league. But football is better now, the quality is higher, the likes of Savage wouldn't have a top flight career. It's a totally valid thing to say the quality then is shit compared to now.
-
The quality is far higher nowadays. Watch a game from 15 years ago and youāll be surprised at just how shit it is. The atmosphere, ticket pricing, VAR, FFP/PSR suck the soul out of the game though.

Cooper is a points deduction. Vardy/Edouard/Daka Mavididi/BEK/Buonanotte/Fatawu Skipp/Winks/Ndidi VK/Okoli/Faes/Vestergaard/Ricardo/JJ Hermansen Is a good enough squad to stay up, the manager is so below par

Already canāt wait until heās sacked, whenever that may be

Imagine our points tally if we did get -8 or -9, weād struggle to hit 10 points. Hopefully the players go to Top.

That was midweek when I last checked so it must have changed with yesterdayās results. Either way weāre chronically unthreatening -

We have the lowest xG per shot in the league atm. Weāre creating very little and theyāre of poor quality -

Doesnāt matter if we only have 8 shots though -
Cooperās PL record heās shit Matches 61 Wins 12 Draws 19 Losses 30 Goals For 63 Goals Against 110 19.6 win %

The just give him time drones thought Rodgers would turn it around, then they started saying āwho else is thereā? when it was obvious he wouldnāt. Anybody defending him is simply not worth reading or replying too. Thereās literally thousands of managers what would leap at the job. Theyāre not all going to be good enough but thereās managers in the Belgian, Danish, Dutch, Czech etc leagues doing well whoād love to manage in the PL and 5x their salary. The club hierarchy just for once have to stop being myopic goons and recruit from Europe

Heās lucky he manages to make it look close every game.

Will The Board Ever Admit They Might Be Wrong?
Stadt replied to Parafox's topic in Leicester City Forum
That requires the bare minimum of introspection. Itās the emperorās new clothes around Top I think. -

Losing face is more embarrassing in Asian culture than in the western world. Weāve always been told ārespect is a big thing in Thailandā on here so we have to put up with eastern mysticism. Top is either negligent or incompetent and for that reason I wish heād sell up. -
Why do clubs have analytics departments that cost millions if stats arenāt to be read into? Thatās really dumb if youāre being serious

The main rebuttal to sacking him can be condensed down to āItās just a bit soonā but there arenāt any green shoots. Weāre chronically negative, heās not ripping up his style of play if he didnāt do it in 55 PL games at Forest. His approach is closer to Pulisā than Pepās. Walsall - 9 shots, 2 on target Everton 12 - 2 Palace 9 - 4 Villa 9 - 3 Fulham 10 - 4 Spurs 7 - 3 Decent managers donāt need 10 or 15 games to get their teams taking 10+ shots a game. Weāve had the second fewest shots on the league, the second fewest touches in the box and the third fewest shots on target. Nothing about this (with relatively soft fixtures) says give him 5 more games just to see if he might turn it around.

That's impressive. I think a surprising amount of people's problems would be solved if they just did another 5000 steps a day.

Bournemouth will beat us - they always do. If we lose 5-0 to Arsenal and thatās what it takes to sack Cooper then Arsenallllll, Arsenalllllll, Arsenalllllllll

Glad we spunked £50m+ net on this t wat and his wank acolytes like Skipp and Ayew when a bag of crisps has a longer shelf life

Thereās lots of debatable failures where you can argue the toss but fundamentally relegation was a colossal failure given the position we were in just 18 months prior. Its football, not lab conditions - constantly hedging and erring on the side of caution is a cop out. As for your latter point, thatās fair but if the posters in question have signed up and regularly post on their teamās forum - theyāve sort of crossed the threshold, theyāre already a certain amount of ābotheredā.
