  1. Which ones?
  2. Might be the only way to make home games entertaining
  3. Ah right, had no idea. Would have gone in if I’d known
  4. Other side of Derby entirely isn’t it?
  5. Yeah, not far to walk but the hill up to DPI is fairly steep.
  6. Got the rattler to Duffield last weekend, startlingly close to Derby. King William, Dead Poet’s Inn and the Holly Bush are a fantastic trio. Holly Bush is a 9.5/10.
  7. He lives not far from Lutterworth
  8. Not everybody that disagrees with you is a bot . The low-information bores on Facebook are very much real people, they’re just not very clever.
  9. We halfway house everything. A) Build for the future like you've said, B) Go all out, spend big, take a deduction, balance some of the books with PSR swaps like Golding. There was no discernible strategy there at all, we did neither of those things and we lumbered ourselves with crap experienced players that are somehow less suited to trying to go up.
  10. More likely it'd be suspended until we (if ever) get promoted next time no?
  11. The spending leads you to think the hierarchy thought we'd be fine FFP/PSR wise to then only land Cooper anyway was a failure. Top wants a manager that plays like Man City but Rudkin's lack of agency means we get Cooper, even by Top's own crap yardsticks he just doesn't get enough out of Rudkin. I can only assume he's absolutely stupid/negligent or Rudkin genuinely is in his position for more nefarious reasons.
  12. Classically we just promoted somebody from within to replace him
  13. Serioulsy? We shouldn't be paying that for first most first choice players we sign, let alone back ups.
  14. Just seems needlessly expensive, he's also played as many games in midfield as at left back and his stint there was years ago. Somebody in their mid twenties from the lower championship (or European equivalent) club with a bit of upward mobility left would be a better option than another over 30.
  15. Have you read How to win the Premier League by Graham? You'd like it - covers all of that and analytics in general excellently. I agree leadership is conflated with character at large, we do need better characters but that isn't solved by signing one or two captain-like players. It has to be baked into the recruitment process and it's why I wasn't keen on Soumare, his pressure numbers were available on fbref at the time and he just didn't close people down enough for his position. Back to my original point, no successful club has ever read;;y improved by just dropping in bona fide leaders, it;s the sort of thing pundits value but it's just sort of intangible claptrap mostly. Man City, Liverpool over the past decade have barely had any shouty types, they've emphasised quality mixed with the right attitude.
  16. This would be a braindead move. We need to shift some wide players if anything because we have some really exciting young wingers. So #WelcomeBackJeff2028 it is
  17. Leadership is more or less a myth. "No leaders" is one of those things that teams only lose because of but never win. Liverpool didn't win the league because they out-shouted out-pointed everybody else. That we spent £7m on that dosser Coady is completely symptomatic of the dumb, old hat club we are.
  18. Not watched it for years, can you link it?
  19. We never once bothered with a spurious PSR swap deal with other clubs in the mire, despite having Golding dumped on us. I'd love to see what the day-to-day workflows are like.
  20. The fact we still chased him despite having to wait for him to finish his gardening leave was very KP. We'd just halted all spending through FFP fears (thank goodness that's over) so our next windows were vital. What did we do? Appoint a HoR that couldn't start officially for half a year.
  21. Northern fanbases have sang **** the tories for years
