  1. Literal only reason going Arsenal is for the high good pub percentage nearby. Plimsoll for dinner
  2. The lads from the 18s have some real promise but I’d expect plenty of results like that for the next season. Defence is short of quality and ended up some in really weird lines/shape. Golding and Braybrooke both have lovely touches but failed to really make a difference. Notable these pair looked ****ed on 65…..after all they are short on game time you’d think (not to say they’ve been in plenty of behind closed doors bounce).
  3. His development is done. He’s four to five years older than the opposition he’s played tonight. Made a horror tackle. Got booked. Then injured/ subbed at half time
  4. Not been good second half. Saints tactically more than anything took control.
  5. Four or five here badly in need of a loan. Richards looks he has something though. Absolutely ripped Saints left back (Larios - first teamer, ex Man Cit) a new one
  6. Totally agree with the original post. Lots of markets and prospects to go at. Lower fees, lower wages, wouldn’t worry about playing at Championship level next season. We need more Hermansen’s, Mavididi’s and Fatawu’s. Players at clubs look up towards ours rather than down at.
  7. Sort of deal I expected us to go for this summer. Insistence on PL experience is hurting us IMO
  8. Or write an upset statement again. Funny when you are subject to free speech
  9. Attractive to who though? Have we been targeting the right player ? We’d still been attractive to the right sort of player at a certain point of their career . A few Hermansen’s and Mavididi’s
  10. Out of interest on the basis of what? He had a decent hand in securing Leverkusen’s title winning season towards the end and played in an European semi final away in Rome where they won on aggregate
  11. We’ve also removed the agent who used to do some of the dirty work cos of Enzo leaving. Not necessarily a bad thing but it’s left us being played
  12. One of the big points this whole Hoffenheim interest underlines is either; One of the parties in the deal has got bored of it stalling, so they release interest of another club to push the deal through and stop the messing about Or Hoffenheim through some party involved have got wind that the deal isn't done and there is a chance to hi-jack it. We can waffle about the efficient workings of LCFC all long - this deal might have been in the making a long time which we are only just hearing about now but the release of this story suggests those things above, that we've lost grip on the deal.
  13. Just prove everyone here isn't some raving disillusioned loony including Steve Cooper whom has literally said it three times that new players are needed! Season predictions from neutral parties Guardian 19th - https://www.theguardian.com/football/article/2024/aug/12/premier-league-2024-25-preview-no-11-leicester-city Business has been somewhat light, with the centre-back Caleb Okoli joining from Atalanta after last season’s loan with Frosinone and Bobby De Cordova-Reid arriving on a free from Fulham. The teenage midfielder Michael Golding has come from Chelsea and winger Abdul Fatawu made his loan from Sporting permanent but it has been quiet for a side who need to step up a level, although the financial issues explain that. The De Cordova-Reid signing is an indication of what Cooper wants because he likes having experienced Premier League players. BBC 19th - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cdrlyg088r5o Cooper and Leicester could defy the odds but it may well be a steep uphill struggle. Telegraph - Relegated - https://archive.ph/cgH6V It looks tough for Leicester, especially with the threat of a points deduction Independent - Relegated - https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league-predictions-2024-25-preview-tips-b2596181.html 5 out of their 6 journalists have us down as relegated. Alan Shearer - 20th - https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-13746109/Alan-Shearer-predictions-Man-United-Champions-League.html Opta - 18th https://theanalyst.com/2024/08/premier-league-predictions-2024-25-opta-supercomputer/ I have said my piece, so I will back off replying to the Norwegian Tourist fan
  14. Also the reasoning Whelan gets less stick despite making some horrid errors is that she has been public in admitting mistakes are made and she has been the one to repeatedly put her name on record when it comes to reporting bad news. She's made big mistakes and still making them but it goes a long way to own that.
  15. It's bit like the posters on here who get very preachy in their defence of the club but don't go games. I am pi**ed with this club and its business because ultimately the failure of it affects the city, its economy and its people. Seeing something which not only gave immense pride but gave the city almighty financial boost every two to three weeks become such a shadow of its self.
  16. looks like its the staff BBQ. Can't believe the bloke at some times. It was like when he was in the background at the gym with the first teamers
  17. That's more than half of the Premier League to be fair - you've excused three of them because of FFP tricks but not acknowledged that we've done that too. More interestingly of that half it includes direct rivals such as Forest, Southampton, Ipswich, Everton.
  18. Un-break my heart Say you'll love me again Undo this hurt you caused When you walked out the door And walked out of my life Un-cry these tears I cried so many nights Un-break my heart My heart
  19. Can we just not play our Premier League games? Then spend a season being an exhibition side like Harlem Globetrotters and just play a load of games in weird, wonderful locations.
  20. I agree with your general point but interestingly in recent financial projections, Thailand has the slowest growth its South-East Asian peers. https://thediplomat.com/2024/07/whats-really-ailing-thailands-economy/
  21. Tbf we've had one......and appointed the likes of Puel and Dean Smith.
  22. There's some irony to this given what King Power have done, the support they receive from the Thai government & royal family and how the club at times has been used. The middle party of that sentence is absolute key here to any future of King Power ownership.
  23. But there's been other examples recently which gives the club a steer into how it might play out.
  24. Football agencies employ Tax experts who advised accordingly. We've been led a merry dance. I'd expect a club who have done various financial deals with Turkish clubs to have the right people to advise accordingly - on that point its interesting that we've fallen out with the agent we regularly worked with. It's becoming a more obvious issue - see Jordan Henderson whom currently leave Saudi to the UK without a significant tax bill, hence he ended up at Ajax.
