  1. Interesting point amongst the post match stuff was there was a lot about Watkins waiting for his chance. That makes me think they’ve either been extremely close to starting him over Kane at some point or the players have the feeling he deserves the spot
  2. Home. For years I have been watching it as a collective - this largely its been largely alone at home, so for superstition stake its staying the same.
  3. Same applies in every international competition no? In this example, it was hardly the cheap seats either given its where the families were located?
  4. Saturday the big stage for a climb. End of next week is pretty mad as well
  5. 5 year + 1 year extension.
  6. Well the fixtures are nearly in, some real choices to make. 6 AL days left. A rare occasion to pair Lecce and Bari has come up in October. Lech v Legia in November under consideration. While Nantes v Rennes or Juventus v Bologna in early December. We've got Greek, Italian C, Belgian lower to come through of interest.
  7. Boil dat piss with a mixer of Xavi Simons’ tears
  8. I used the analogy before - a football club is a solar system. They are multiple planets. You have the playing side, the board/management and the fans. They all have their own orbits and gravitational pulls. For some, they are happy to be on solely concentrate on that playing side. They park all the noise about everything else - in fact it's what all of us enjoy. The issue with the planets is that if one of them starts to fcuk around, then the orbits and the pulls start to pull on the other planet. The bad decision making of the board/management is affecting playing side (see forthcoming points deduction) and affecting the fans (increasing ticket prices). In the process you price out the sections of your support who are far more vocal which can push on the playing side to succeed. It's easy to ignore and just watch the football but it has to be acknowledged that bad decisions elsewhere will indirect affect the performance of the football.
  9. I have hated watching every minute of it but then I have loved the aftermath of the social media/journalists in Europe losing their marbles.
  10. Come on England, let’s fill an engineering cylinder container full of tears and piss from across Europe and boil it tonight
  11. Thing is Wymsey we live in a bubble on here - for a good percentage of the supporters, the club have done no wrong.
  12. The difficulty is that themselves and other fan groups have tried repeatedly the tactic of taking the club at their word, waiting for feedback, and holding off because they don't want to upset the progress which has been made before hand. They didn't want to upset those involved and lose the traction made but they aren't getting anywhere and that's after recently reminding the club of dates/promises of consultation. This has been years of a slog - which started getting somewhere and now it's retreating back. The club are backing on the apathy and lack of unity in the overall fanbase to such issues and will 'roll the dice' that the criticism will never be loud enough or stronger enough to alter their position.
  13. https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/world/rest-of-world/thai-court-sets-july-24-as-next-hearing-date-for-case-to-remove-pm/articleshow/111625143.cms I doubt it - given it's every five minutes when this occurs in Thailand but here's the PM that Top has hosted on numerous occasions.
  14. On paper, I don't have much hope - three insignificant loan spells and a 17 game run for Atalanta. Prove me wrong Caleb
  15. Is there not a danger of Farage being exposed a bit given the financial scrunity MPs face? My thought process has been he will get bored if the pennies dry up from it.
  16. Rishi Sunak today with probably his greatest statement in HoC. Hopefully we can return to those sensibilities he showed today
  17. PL membership strikes out the ability to use CAS for such matters
  18. Ahh the levelling up fund 52% of successful bids that can be allocated to a party were in Conservative constituencies (the Conservatives won 56% of seats in the Commons in 2019) 24% of them were in Labour areas (Labour won 31% of the seats in 2019) Projects in Tory constituencies were awarded a total of £1.21bn, compared with £471m in Labour ones. There was one successful bid in a Lib Dem constituency, seven for the SNP, five for the DUP, three for Sinn Fein, and one each for the Alliance Party and Plaid Cymru. Areas have also been competing for money under the government's Towns Fund. In that contest, of the 56 constituencies that won, 47 had Conservative MPs. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-64337596 - even old Andy Street called it out
  19. Ironically personally knowing some of the ‘moaners’ I’d happy say they are those who want to unify and push for change. Issue is that the average LCFC is apathetic
  20. Their fans think that they have a manager whom has a forward thinking style (from the days of Scott Parker) and signings have improved. He’s successfully sorted out a new training ground after years of frustration. They are progressing with a stadium extension and got the land to the ownership of the club. He’s been very vocal that they need to get their wider fanbase watching live football.
  21. Labour been working in the background with industry. You only have to note that there was nil market reaction when the election was announced, when the polls kept coming and when the election was won. The guarantee that you aren’t going to have someone completely flip the interest rates on their head and follow after some cult financial think tanking gives business confidence that they can project their short to medium term futures.
  22. Not necessarily the case. Ask Bournemouth fans what they think of Bill Foley. He’s moved them on significantly on and off the pitch.
  23. Ultimately the club now have a fan liaison officer or engagement whatever, she’s been in post for nearly three months. There’s been no engagement with any fan groups etc. The Comms director is one of the biggest obstacles at LCFC currently
