Leicester to appoint Martyn Glover as head of senior recruitment.
CosbehFox replied to stu's topic in Leicester City Forum
Signings are a combo of his and Enzo utilising some links to agents/former colleagues -
Table in general looks a bit more competitive but as LL says it needs expanding else the second half of it is going to become a dead rubber
-
It is for us given the financial debts we carry.

Not sure the Hearns are that good at team sports promotion. Can vouch for what they attempted with Basketball and Netball but failed.

Personally I think it needs it. The Super League standards need driving up. The Pro-Rel system as is hasnt really worked - albeit Leigh bucked the trend this year. The other outcome was probably to take CVC’s money which hasn’t worked well at all for Aviva Premiership. Used to follow Speedway closely - their best period in recent memory was with IMG promoting the world championship

I just hope they give it a proper go. Should get some decent crowds with travelling support. The Broncos team last time were decent and unfortunate with relegation in the end. Just hope recruitment is good enough because if they make SL 2025, IMG will look after them for a bit

The amount of money they are spending on things like this.

Same with X/Twitter, the Israel government with paid for sponsored tweets

League One & Two - 2023-2024 Season
CosbehFox replied to Wymsey's topic in General Football and Sport
Stockport got ridiculous strikeforce for this level. I didn’t think much to Louie Barry first half and then he completely ripped Harrogate apart second half. I’d be surprised if Harrogate aren’t towards the bottom two come the end of the season -

Just about in at Harrogate’s ground. Hopefully Stockport support and potential table topping makes this interesting. -
Haven’t had a booze in a while but just supped an Illkey - Mary Jane, ****in hell so soft and smooth. Could see this sun off this afternoon/evening with three or four of theseb

I take you’ve never seen the annual March of Flags? A celebration of Israel’s victory in the six day war. https://amp.theguardian.com/world/2023/may/18/israeli-nationalists-march-to-celebrate-capture-of-east-jerusalem Includes utter nut jobs chanting ‘death to all Arabs’

First lad you mention has played in the Champions League !

This is going to become Leeds problem. Overconfidence. Slowly beginning to believe Ipswich can pull this off provided everyone keeps writing them off and being very open to them ala Leicester 15/16 until January.
-
Any Harrogate suggests from our Yorkshire dwellers? (Where is bloody MTWG!)
-
Harrogate here at the weekend. Another non-league ground where they've added about six or seven stands for it to satisfy ground grading.

The article is utter bollocks.

Also this season those players and staff deserve applauds and support for their efforts. Personally think it must be a tad dis-spiriting to see empty seats at the final whistle. Actually have more at issue with the 35 minutes onwards club

15th November 2001 Filbert Street hosted Walkers Intwrnational Tournament. England Under 16s lost to Germany 2-0. Tom Heaton and Aaron Lennon both played for England. Netherlands and Spain also played on the same day. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/204488647428?hash=item2f9c792304:g:aV8AAOSwQllg20GI&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA0NtjldVctrcig%2B3EZK4jozoylBGi9AJ3EUCLayie%2BStvyR8g6QEIzwzNX80hQKaVxyPFsPyxL3%2BZW47sKmeRggzRTY9l8XSSNHDho10pntpo6bP82tPLV6OGmVu2dkv4CBpv%2BvzcN60zSj7twfEKrlYPoS6hlfyfQeToGPdaa5KA9z2elsseVlhgsbzQpxonB1XpsVXV9H2POg3d%2BUGovDoxlSfdcGPdwEd4LWmQoWPhhw38B7iGyDIcjDqhjUREvsV8I3aMNbs4UwZIHLhHQsg%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR5K2lrLkYg Good chance Iniesta played for Spain.

Looking at our reserves/youth team - the answer is most likely Richard Stearman if you allow ressie games

Hitler lost the Presidential run off but the Nat Soc’s had most seats in the Bundestag. As a result that gave Hitler the right as chancellor. President bumbled on appointing him but eventually did. Gave Hitler the power to enforce certain laws

If I ain’t nearly scrapping with some bonehead from Nuneaton on the train back home from St Andrews, I’ll be surprised
