Pressure is really getting to them 😂
Kitchandro replied to Happy Fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
This is just a ridiculous comment. He signed a contract at a club with a certain standing and expectation level. So what he’s saying is that he can’t meet our very reasonable expectations for a club of our size. No manager with any self-respect would say such a thing. It’s a real loser’s mentality. -
Ok, but they can be loud and vocal outside the ground, no? It’s not going to get more attention inside the ground because it’s too disjointed. Outside the ground will have far, far more potential. Everyone will be in one place and it will be impossible to miss.

This is it now. Time to stop complicating this and overthinking it. It’s a boycott. It’s not a chant. It’s not staying in the concourse. It’s not a plane or van message. If you’re not KPFC, there is no excuse for continuing to attend matches. There are other things to do in life. Yes, even with the people you usually go to the football with. You can bond and meet up over something else. These things are about what you are willing to do. If you want change, you need to change, do something different, make a calculated sacrifice. Do something they will notice. Personally, I think it would be most effective to do both of the following. 1) Boycott every match 2) Gather outside the ground and protest. Anyone going to the match will see it, the media will see it. It’s noticeable and doesn’t require making the ground look full. That’s just an idea. But the bare minimum is a complete and total boycott. Not just the next game, but for the rest of the season. Shame the club.

We had plenty of time since the last match, that’s not the issue. The issue was it was a bad idea. It was non-committal. It had very limited potential. It was half-hearted and over-complicated for the sake of making it ‘fun’. There are people on here who suggested it because deep down they just didn’t want to miss another game. Well boycotts, enforcing change; these things are about sacrifice. Except in this instance, when you’re not sacrificing anything by missing us play Oxford United. If anyone here cares you’ll boycott the next match at the very least, or do something that risks you losing your season ticket and getting a ban. Anything less and you’re just full of hot air.

We’ve been saying that for 4 years!

That’s because it’s not a boycott.

If your argument is that the club is bound to make the wrong decision or can’t be bothered to do adequate scouting of a good manager with the personal management qualities to inspire this team and improve it tactically, I don’t think many on here would argue with you. Most people on this forum are arguing what they want to happen, not what they think will happen. If the question is: Are there better managers in existence than Marti Cifuentes who would come to Leicester? Then of course the answer is yes, they just won’t be ones who have already made a name to warrant a bigger club than Leicester. The problem is if you only think of managers from the perspective of reputation, you’re never going to pick the right manager because managers with a better reputation than us wouldn’t come here. So we end up with managers who have enough reputation to be known but not enough quality to get a better club than us. It’s like buying an older horse who’s exposed to the handicapper - when we should be hiring young novices with lower weights and room for improvement. Ones that ‘dumber’ clubs have foolishly overlooked. That’s what Brighton used to do to punch above their weight, with managers and players. We always ask this question ‘who would come here?’ because this stupid club only considers names and not qualities.
-
Why? A manager signs a contract often knowing they aren’t going to be backed financially and Marti should have done enough research to know this was going to be the case here. A manager’s job is to get the most out of the players they have, especially as they rarely get final say or lots of input into specific signings in this day and age. If you only judge a manager when they are backed, you’re essentially giving loads of money to a man who has not yet proven that they can get the best out of their players. To me, it’s fairly clear Cifuentes gets less out of this squad than the sum of its parts, therefore we’d be crazy to give him money to spend.

The fact we expect to lose to Coventry is a sackable offence in itself. In fact it’s a ‘fold the club and start again’ offence.

Great thread. Ricardo Faes Mills Chilwell Van Aanholt Danns Wise Perez Kermorgant Kane Alan Smith (for his punditry) Don’t give a toss if players are out of position, they would be bellends in any position. Special mentions to Mahrez any time he wasn’t on the pitch, and Hammond for being one of those players that would have been hated under Holloway but was inexplicably liked just because he played under Pearson.

Culture is not just national or religious, and culture is not nature. You’re (justifiably) criticising online culture, for example, because people choose to actively engage in certain behaviours. There is an obvious political culture in the US for example and to suggest that MAGA culture should be considered equal to, let’s say the genuine left-wing culture, is obviously false. One is built on control and greed, the other is, despite any flaws the culture might have, built on the idea of freedoms and equality. Patriarchal culture is another clearly negative example. Frankly, I don’t think much to British culture but you’d be hard pressed to argue American culture is not worse (a more extreme version of all the negatives) in almost every single aspect. That’s not a judgement of individual people, and frankly even a lot of Americans (the decent ones) would agree with me. I’d argue it’s often silly to say that a culture is purely bad - you can criticise one without saying it’s all bad. But objectively people are better off living in certain cultures rather than others because there are physical and tangible consequences for it. Back to the subject at hand, no one can defend this callous killing and anyone who’s seen the video, heard the several eyewitness accounts from locals and is still seriously suggesting there might be some justification for what this essentially Gestapo agent did should hang their head in shame.

https://apple.news/A70ATIUL8QtG0qlXhWrVdNA Jesus Christ that country. It’s sickening seeing a government tweet call this person a ‘terrorist’ for driving their car, before there’s even been an investigation. An onlooker said they were trying to flee from what you could legitimately call an actual terrorist organisation.

He’s lazy. Extremely lazy. He just strolls around. Just watch him doing it on the highlights. That’s why people don’t like him.

I think boycott’s are the way to go personally. Much easier to draw attention to all those empty seats on the TV than if they just mute the chants, can’t hear them, or just assume some people are late because of traffic. I think all this other stuff is complicating it. EDIT: having said that, protesting outside the ground for the whole match would be an idea because it doesn’t require making the stadium look well attended.
-
This should be all the motivation people need to boycott the next home match as well. The equivalent of sticking newspapers on the dressing room wall.
-
I’ll tell you one thing the BBC love, absolutely LOVE, is defending any manager who doesn’t manage Celtic, Rangers, or one of the Super League traitors in the Premier League. It’s daily hit pieces for Man Utd and Celtic managers who’ve been in charge for 5 games, and ‘be careful what you wish for’ for everyone else.
-
Hopefully the joy of mocking at KPFC fans on here has convinced a lot of people to make this boycott a regular thing. It’s more fun than any match over the past 2 seasons.

Wout Faes could definitely star in a sequel to The Room. He’d be as hapless as Tommy Wiseau but not nearly as funny.
-
If it’s an in game protest it has to be very well supported and pretty disruptive. If it isn’t both it will be easily ignored. I remember the Blackpool fans throwing tennis balls on the pitch and then they staged a mid-match sit in which caused the game to be abandoned. That got attention but I highly doubt a good number of our fanbase will partake in this as they’d risk a life ban from this lot. I don’t think there’s much point having banners and chants that the TV will barely pick up.

People are really overthinking this. Boycott because that’s how you feel. If it doesn’t take off for this one game, so be it, just keep doing it and bringing it up whenever possible until it is common knowledge. You will not be missing any classic matches against West Brom, Oxford and Charlton. You’ll realise how easy it is after you’ve spent a few Saturdays in the pub instead.
