  1. Interesting turn of events in November 2021, they were bottom of the premier league likely heading down. Take over happens, Newcastle stay up. 2023 the club reach the champions league. 2025 win the league cup for first time in their history. Owners there certainly got it right with their change of management and player recruitment without even breaking the bank. One thing Newcastle mustn't do is let there season dip after this trophy success. We've seen other clubs win a cup mid-season and allowed their form to drift away. Birmingham city won the league cup in 2011 they were 16th in the Premier league, come may they were relegated. Only picked up i think six points between then and the end of the season.
  2. True cups and Silverware are remembered more than "do you remember when Watford finishing 10th" silverware is there forever.
  3. Mike Ashley runs sports direct company known for bullying employees do we really want a guy associated with that running the club.
  4. Wrexham away
  5. Martin is vastly overated. Im hoping a championship club gets him first. Gary O'Neill i'm not sure, perhaps hed be decent in the championship.
  6. I didn't think theyd know Enzo... well dont think many of us did somehow they got it. Gerrard i think will apply....avoid 🤢
  7. Liam Rosenior would be interesting choice. My fear with these owners we end with Phillippe Clement, who was shocking at Rangers. Just horrible feeling he's type of person Top and Rudkin would consider.
  8. Would anyone take a gamble on Will Still, not at present as would be unfair to start him of now. But in the summer.
  9. In the lower leagues its no problem quite a few have lead teams to the premier league but once in the top flight they are on borrowed time.
  10. Im not sure its down to poor quality of English managers or down lack of English managers being given enough opportunities to manage at the big clubs.
  11. Careful what you wish for. Not forget Ashley was responsible for hiring likes of McClaren, Shearer, Keegan (poor return), Bruce, Carver...
  12. I'm all for giving Richie Wellens a go next season with likes of Andy King (already here) and maybe Kevin Phillips part of the coaching team.
  13. With internationals next week could be a decent crowd at Kirby Muxloe next week, no premier league or championship on. Kirby pushing for the play offs while Boro pushing to secure the title. Over 200 from Nuneaton likely expected. Be good for Muxloe if they can a decent amount money on the day.
  14. Aston Villa when they got relegated in 2016, they had really bad start in the championship the following season I think they won like 1 win in 8 games and if wasn't for an experienced manager like Steve Bruce at that level coming in. They may even gone down again. Similar to us when Villa went down the squad was a shambles..
  15. Are we at risk of double relegation? Luton Town are in serious trouble of yet another relegation. Sunderland likewise a few years ago. No confidence of an instant return, This squad aren't good enough in the championship.
  16. Worse manager in history, record doesn't lie sadly. However with better players who knows. Cooper never should have gone! Player power may have cost big time.
  17. Damn second time I've done that now!
  18. Season is done, no matter who comes in. But RVP needs to step down for his own sake, get in some one till the end of season. Who ain't got a clue? Dyche... would be pointless. Should have came in three games ago... to late now. I'd say get MON back in for the last remaining games, not to keep us up but bring some much needed excitement to the fans. A club legend and see if some sort of pride can come out from these lads. If not MON then Pearson.
  19. Leicester at the moment is like getting beaten up every week without throwing a punch back. In a boxing match the ref would have stopped it long ago. It's like boxing match between Jacob Rees-Mogg and Tyson Fury each week.
  20. Could be worse, could be Leicester United fan Need a positive... somewhere.
  21. Marc Albrighton must be thinking i retired at the right time.
  22. Maddison scores the pen against Everton we stay up... Deano becomes a leicester hero.
  23. Think Howe has secured himself the England job after Tuchel.
  24. If Man Utd fail to beat us then officially would be the worse Man United side in Premier league history.
  25. Its hard to believe a team sitting 16th premier league in march is not of risk of relegation. Just shows how poor three promoted clubs are. Man United on this display even though are leading should be in a relegation scrap... they look atrocious.
