  1. I think we had a better team in 2002... not saying much. Poor management and coaching after O'Neill led to our downfall. 2004 im not sure how we got relegated based on the players we had, all can i say it was experienced squad with aging players.
  2. Non league football is the place to be now, tbh. I never get fans who support man u or Liverpool and they live in say Loughborough and they spent a fortune on match tickets at anfield which may cost £60-£100 plus travel yet they could pop down the local non league for just £10, enjoy a few beers, watch footy, bit banter between fans and know your money is going straight into club funds to keep them afloat. For non league clubs making a profit is the bonus whilst having enough funds to keep the club going season by season is the main aim.
  3. Bramall Lane is a good away day aswell. I was looking forward to a trip to Kenilworth Road, not been there in 12 years but not going i dont think.
  4. Nuneaton Boro already... so yeah. Perhaps Rangers more though they play in the crap Scottish league. Think its safe to stay a lot local non-league club attendances would improve in Leicester. Who is the nearest non league club to the KP?
  5. Just two wins away from the title for the Nuneaton 'boro' Town. 4-2 win over Coton Green. Quite a tight game and if honest Coton maybe dissapointed to come away with nothing as they created a fair few chances. 561 in attendance not bad again for midland division one. Very entertaining game again, to be honest this league is not to be taken for granted, alot of good teams with some decent players. Its a league that is kind of divided into two you've got top 11 or 12 who really strong then the rest not so much and at times gulf shows. Theres about four or five clubs that are playing at least a level or two too high.
  6. Well for cov fans the main rivals is villa for them but incredibly they aint played them in 24 years!!! So they have to settle for us most the time 😆 Interesting they dont like Sunderland either... something to do with jimmy hill incident when he was cov manager in the 60s or 70s.
  7. Depends where your from Loughborough way always Forest, as theres a few forest fans. Whilst if you live in Hinckley, Narborough, Nuneaton and Northants its going to be cov.
  8. Derby aren't bothered by us, it's Forest for them. Coventry unless they sadly get promoted will be the big derby I think. Maybe perhaps Birmingham in some ways next season as I think they will be strong next season in the championship.
  9. No more channel four woo!
  10. solved the goal scoring problem
  11. Wrexham wouldn't surprise with the Hollywood connection
  12. Cooper may end at Southampton in the summer, im not sure their current coach will stick around in the championship.
  13. Danny Simpson wont be surprised gets added.
  14. All English quarter final to come Villa v Liverpool. Villas record at anfield is shocking, whilst Liverpools recent record at Villa is not great either.
  15. Richie Wellens just been announced, play his cards right he could be leicester manager in the summer
  16. Murrayfield would be a better venue considering edinburgh is the real capital of Scotland. Plus Hampden is a dump in need of a mega face lift.
  17. Boro did the same two seasons when we visited Skegness Town, we took a good 100 fans down there. I remember we took over the Lumley pub opposite train station. We lost the game 1-2, I think it safe to say a few Boro players thought they won the game before they kicked a ball and came unstuck. There was a weird situation where a two players had a scrap with each other, the female ref sent the Boro play off. Then both managers pleaded the with the ref to keep the game XI v XI... so the ref had embarrassment of having to recall a player back on to the field. I heard later the ref in question got in trouble for that instant and apparently once a red was shown she can't change her mind even in a friendly.
  18. You just know Milton Keynes will be listed we'll likely be overlooked
  19. I think if this sells out quickly, they should move this to the KP. Cap the capacity at 10k and then split the ticket revenue with Anstey.
  20. Video of him in Brugge the other night. This old skool would probably beat the current xi I was told Muzzy Izzet might feature as well.
  21. No surprise theres a bid done a fab job with the euros and you think now a lot of bigger stadiums will want to be involved. So no trips to Rotherham etc.. Big question like euro 2028, why a UK bid? England has enough stadiums.
  22. Villa weren't in a great place when he arrived, in a bit of a mess. I cant remember if he was brought in by the current owners or previous fraud owner Xia... whose in prison somewhere i think.
  23. Christian Purslow would be a good person to have on board as a chief executive. Scrap the director of football go with a different approach giving more power to the management and coaching team on transfers. Purslow was a director at chelsea and Liverpool and chief executive at Villa the last thing he done was bring Emery in. I think he would be our man to help us out business level off the field.
  24. Mourhino was asked in a press conference about managing in Scotland in the future and responded he would be quite open to that. Interesting that... never thought the scottish league would appeal to him. Rangers fans must be hoping their attentions turn to Mourhino in the summer. That would really ignite the old firm derby having Mourihno in the Rangers dugout.. hope it happens.
  25. They were charging £90 for the group stages... so reduced it by £5 lol.. £85 still a stupid amount. Last season I went to see Villa play Ajax in the Conference League just £25! which was I think a good deal. Well only reason I went cause it was cheap otherwise wouldn't have bothered and it was a good game and atmosphere. Strange how from one competition to another in space just a few months there nearly a £70 increase! Typical fans are still stupid to pay it though.
