I thought the exact same. If they were playing us and that happened, I’d be going mental.

As much as I can’t see Chelsea beating City in the CL final, if they do, 4th won’t be good enough so we need at least 4 points to get 3rd.

I had a feeling somewhere in the back of my mind that it wasn’t going to count. I didn’t even know why. But I just felt that the stars were aligned and we would win. Having said that, for a split second I was gutted like everyone. VAR did it’s job in the end. What was worse for me was the fact that as Tilemans shot smashed in to the top corner and I let out a scream of “you ****ing beauty”, my brother said “no wait, wait I think it’s handball, it might not count”. I hadn’t seen a handball and as it turned out, thankfully he was wrong. But that’s what VAR does. It ruins celebrations. However, had we not had VAR we would have been facing ET with all those defensive changes. It’s a bit of a catch 22 this VAR thing.

You can do this lads. At the end of the day, it’s just 11 v 11 and each and every single one of you is more than good enough to beat Chelsea. We believe in you, believe in yourselves and bring the cup home! C’mon you foxes 💙🦊

The Chelsea league game isn’t a must win. It’s a must not lose. If we’re drawing with 10/15 to go, we don’t need to push for a winner but they do. And that could open up opportunities on the counter.....just a shame we don’t have a fit Harvey Barnes to stretch them.

It’s all in our hands lads - nothing to panic about.......yet. Liverpool could easily draw at least one of their final 3 games and if they do then we only need a point assuming their goal difference is still inferior. That’s unlikely to happen I know but what isn’t unlikely to happen is us getting two draws and Liverpool slipping up just once. And look, when all is said and done, come the 38th game, if we aren’t 4th or better then we only have ourselves to blame. We’ve had numerous chances to put this thing to bed and we didn’t take it. We should have beaten 10 men Southampton and we should have beaten Newcastle last weekend.

Perez can’t help the fact that he cost £30m. I totally get that. But he did, and that’s too much money for a player who’s only real attributes is working hard off the ball. He doesn’t score anywhere near enough goals. He doesn’t even get enough assists. In my opinion, if we could press the reset button and have that £30m back now I’d take it.

Oh shit, now we have to be hopeful again..... I really hope the squad get a big boost from this. If I was Brendan, I’d be getting them all together tonight at the training ground and tell them that we can do this. I think there’s a lack of confidence in the team at the minute, and they just need to believe in themselves, and the mistakes will stop happening. I’d be bringing them in for a dinner together and start to build that belief again! Realistically, 4 more points should do it. I can’t see Liverpool winning all of their remaining games so with 4 more points, even if westham won every single game, we would get 4th on goal difference.
