If Maddison truly does want to move to Arsenal then I would seriously question his passion for football and desire to succeed. Don’t get me wrong, I know Arsenal are a far bigger football club than us. They have a rich history full of trophies and successes. But that’s it. They aren’t better than us now. They aren’t more likely to win trophies than us right now. They have a PE teacher in charge of their first team who has done very little to persuade most football fans that he’ll ever achieve half of what BR has managed. If Maddison wants to go and play for them in this current state then I totally question whether he likes football at all, let alone loves it as he claims to. The motivation can be financial at this point in time and nothing else.

Peace of mind is always worth a tenner I reckon. There appears to be 8000 odd spare tickets available for the game but knowing Leicester fans, at least 4000 of those will sell between now and Friday evening! That’ll make getting in to box park harder.

In truth the top 4 does look beyond us on paper. But football isn’t played on paper. The last 2 seasons we have seen at least 3 of the traditional top 6 have average to poor seasons so who is to say that won’t happen again? I think Merson massively underestimates us. To say that the gap between us and the top 4 is huge is unfair. We’ve been SO close to breaking in the last 2 seasons. That doesn’t just happen. We’re a good side and we’re getting even better. We may just miss out again. But we also may just do it this time. Watch this space.

So so boring. Could have been fun but it felt awkward. It actually made the two players look like they don’t get on which is even worse.

I think it’s done intentionally as they want the players to concentrate on their jobs rather than making us laugh. Having said that, I wish we could see some quizzes between the players or maybe a video of them playing a round of golf or a pitch and putt challenge. I don’t see what harm that could do but I assume we’re intentionally prevented from seeing it sadly.

We are allowed to criticise players without being called bully’s or nasty. I don’t hate Perez, I don’t wish him bad luck or want him to be injured. I just don’t think he’s good enough for a team with serious CL aspirations. That’s why he’d fit in quite well at Everton. We live in a society now where we’re not allowed to criticise at all and it’s ridiculous. He won’t be reading this and even if he is I’m sure he will know that 3 goal contributions in a team that finished 5th isn’t good enough.
