Who says we went in to the game hoping for less than anything in particular? Cooper picked the team he felt was best for the win. I didn’t like that team. But that team at 47 minutes gone was 2-0 up and should have seen it out. Someone gave the ball away in the middle of the park and we concede. The rest is history. Totally unfair to compare Megson and Cooper.

No real blame attached to Cooper from me. Some of you lot just can’t get over his forest connections and you’re blinded by it. He could win us the league and you still wouldn’t be convinced. I didn’t like his choice of 11 again today but at 2-0 up he had got it right. We pressed them well and created the 3 best chances of that game at that point. Conceding straight after going 2 up isn’t coopers fault. Sending an extremely experienced CB on who got bullied by a kid half his size and then made a crap challenge in the box also isn’t his fault. Could we have gone at them a bit more and tried to make it 1-3? Yes maybe. But that aside I’m not blaming cooper. There’s a culture of blaming the manager in football. Sometimes the players just need to make better decisions.

All jokes aside…..I have battered the club lately. I think we all have and it’s been deserved. We did technically breach the PSR rules and by a hell of a lot. Had Maddison scored that penalty against Everton we wouldn’t have gone down and then we’d have been in the shit last season with a huge deduction. The club messed up big time. They shouldn’t sail away from this without their critics. But credit where it’s due…they went out and employed the right Lawyers for the job and exploited the horrendously flawed loophole in the Premier League’s PSR rules. I wonder if Everton and Forest will appeal for some sort of compensation. Not sure they can but just a thought.

Unless the rules change it seems to me that you can spend as much as you like in the PL as long as you go down. Then you can spend as much as you like in the Championship as long as you go straight back up! Coops - you know what you’ve got to do 😂

In fairness, the first goal wasn’t a fault of JJ. It was a complete overload due to Faes totally switching off and Kristensen being too far up field. JJ got overrun at that point..
