  1. I feel I cant say with an assumption its accurate word for word, but it was something along the lines the place became too comfortable for a place of work, a sauna type experience, instead of a training ground.
  2. Seagrave is bad for fitness not good for it, Albrighton went public on the harm it caused.
  3. Yeah, we clearly have a cultural issue now where we think taking a proven failure from the EPL is better than a rising star from the lower leagues, its already evident in player recruitment.
  4. Seagrave has very likely caused fitness levels to drop if anything. I still have Albrighton's verdict of it in my memory.
  5. You saying you prefer rigid pre set routines only? Players having freedom to take chances themselves is the best type of football.
  6. League needs to have Ronaldo's and Messi's to be good then? I think people have been spoilt in the past decade. Have seen some great games this season between championship teams, lots of counter attacking, dribbling, direct etc.
  7. Top's priority is how he wants the football played, I think the only way if Martin isnt a future LCFC manager is if the new Technical Director prevents it.
  8. Why do people keep saying this league lacks quality, its horrendous etc? what dont they like about it? League's that are closely packed are better league's as its less predictable.
  9. I would support the replacement as one would be made. If one was made now I might even shift to it. I feel LCFC in its current state I am struggling to connect with.
  10. A lot of people misunderstand PSR, they think it needs you to get your money back, I try not to debate it too much. But any kind of financial gain, such as getting rid of the wages still helps PSR, yes you might not get rid of all of the liability from the player purchase, but reducing the loss is still a PSR gain. So e.g. you buy a player for 4 million, 4 year deal, amortised 1 million a year, and they also have 1 million a year salary. Over 4 years, this is a total 8 million hit on the books. If you get rid of the player end of year 3 for lets say 100k. (below book value). You have still gained 1 million in wages plus the 100k cash from where you were prior to the sale, so the liability has reduced from 8 million to 6.9 million. Insisting on recovering book value, is a big part of our problem, and led to us having a lot of players in the squad we dont want and also players winding down their contracts. Iversen is a classic example of this.
  11. Proper wheeling and dealing, if a player isnt good, especially if they a burden on wages, you just get rid. Even if they given away for free, it frees up wage budget and a space in the squad. Instead we obsessed with this nonsense idea that none of our players can depreciate in value so must get our money back, otherwise keep players prisoner to burn out their contract. Most clubs bring in 10 or so players every summer, they can do this as they routinely let players go they no longer want. I agree with you on the wage, playing predicament I suspect there has been pressure for a while certain players need to be in the matchday squad, simply because they too expensive to be reserves. This predicament has came about due to our mismanagement of contracts.
  12. I am still neutral, but I think there is an entitlement right now, we dont want to become watford changing managers twice a year, because we think we should be at a certain level. I think some are struggling to accept we have messed up, and our budget, scouting, football operations are just not at the level they think they are. I know it might be hard to take in, but we have issues above the manager that are higher priority.
  13. Struggling to care whilst we still have Top and Rudkin running the show, for me they are "the" problem. But I would be surprised if he is anywhere near the sack at the moment.
  14. You missed all the under performing posts whilst not in the relegation zone? The forum was absolutely flooded with them. I was been kind saying it was half.
  15. The usual combo.
  16. I would say mid table is our level, our most experienced players dont want to be here, we dont have a clinical striker, we have a football ethos that doesnt fit most of the players, we are missing some of the best players we had when in this division last time KDH, Vardy, Justin, Ndidi who ironically also put in more effort than these current arse wipes. This reminds me of last season when half the forum thought we were a comfortable mid table EPL squad, delusions. I think a outstanding manager would get us to the playoffs, but no higher.
  17. I think its more recognising the proper order of events should be sort out the sporting director first who then looks at the manager (and player) situation.
  18. It will be Rooney if its done before new technical director.
  19. Part of our issue, we now have keeper passing it to defender on the ground, kasper used to be more ambitious and pass to someone already in the opponents half. Crazy thing is we still fumbling these keeper to defender passes as well, its diabolical strategy.
  20. It doesnt need to be counter to not be slow laboured passing. Counter is just one means of playing it forward quickly. As an example, I see our keeper today did a pass to a defender which he fumbled, but that would have only reached the defender, Kasper used to pass it to someone already in the opponents half and was more accurate. We used to have defenders passing to strikers or midfielders instead of to themselves. That sort of quick movement benefits players like Fatawa as rapid play is harder to defend against vs slow laboured build up passing play. But for counter attacking would be his forte. There will be counter attacking opportunities every single game, we are not good enough to prevent an opposition to never have a go at us.
  21. Is there a wrong and right way to play the game then? I would rather a team try something different to before than keep trying something that isnt working.
  22. We countered in a few games and he shined in those matches. One also only has to look at his strengths, slow laboured play doesnt bring out the best in him. The fans of slow build up are really looking for scraps if they cant recognise what a player is suited for.
  23. I seen a post that said we would struggle to play counter, but Fatawa is a pure counter player, the way we playing hurts him. If he was with us when we played counter 10 or so years back he would be a 60 mill player after a season of it.
  24. I think it will make the club harder to sell, ups the purchase cost as well as the running cost, I expect a new owner would be very tempted to sell it quickly after purchase as well.
  25. This makes it a good league not a bad one.
