Another player that I cannot believe how genuinely shit he turned out to be. I don't even think we found his true level in League 1. He could easily drop to League 2 and still not be a standout player at that level.

Type of player you see retiring from football at age 28, after dropping down the leagues and struggling to find any club that will take him. He isn't even that terrible, he just doesn't offer anything of significance.

I think I will stick to my theory. I don't think we are as close to administration right now as some random on Facebook is saying. Signing players like Chaplin and Burns makes no sense if we are days away from going into administration. There is calculated risk, and then there is downright stupidity. Clubs that are days/weeks from going into administration usually do a fire sale and promote and rely on youth players and lowest earners already at the club, just to get a starting 11 out there.

The family didn't settle being away from England, so I would be surprised if he goes abroad again. I suspect he will end up in the Championship, as would be surprised if a Premier League club would take him.

Why would we be signing any players if that was true? All we are doing is trying to sell the players that will get us the most money and off the wage bill. Pretty standard for any club dropping down a league. I do think we are still in trouble financially, especially if we don't get promoted straight away, but it don't think we are that close to administration yet, or we can at least delay it for the time being.

This obsession with passing it around the back even when there are no safe options, is so painful and infuriating to watch. It will cost us so many goals this season, but we will persist with it no matter what.
