I thought the 'top training complex' has been part of the problem according to some on here. Too pampered etc. Don't think Vestergaard will be walking his dog around if Dyche is there.

I can see him going to Germany. As others have said, I doubt we are open to paying any compensation at this time.

Pretty much where I am at. I just can't envisage Dyche not being able to get us promoted in 1-2 seasons. I'd love to think Rohl could come in and do the job, but I don't think we can afford for another Manager to go wrong. I suspect we may only have one or two shots at getting back to the Premier League, due to the ever growing gap between the leagues and the increasing amount of Billionaire owners.

To be honest, I think it is irrelevant if he is friends with Rudkin. Listening to Dyche all these years (painfully), I don't think he would mince his words with friends or players. He seems an old school type Manager who will call you all sorts, and then expect a beer afterwards. There seems to be a common theme with our recent Managers, where they have been misled by Top and Rudkin on available funds/finances and potential transfers, we saw it with Maresca and seeing it again with RVN. I don't see Dyche being misled in the same way, personally.

The Football club is a mess. Dyche strikes me as someone who would take us back to basics and get a squad working hard and setting standards, that we have drifted from since Pearson left. I also don't think he would take any crap from Top and Rudkin. He is arrogant but not in the way Rodgers was. If Rohl comes, then there will be more excitement due to the unknown factor, like there was with Maresca and RVN at the time. However, if it is Dyche, then I will feel more confident that he will get us promoted, not with style and probably only by dragging us up with grit and determination, but I would be surprised if he didn't find a way. I'd take either, for very different reasons.

Ideally, I don't really want Dyche. However, I think he is more likely to get us promoted than any of the other names mentioned. I fear the gap between the Championship and the Premier League is growing at such a rate, that if we don't get back there within 1-2 seasons, then we are likely to be stuck in the Championship for years.

I think there was a majority happy with RVN at the time... Positivity will last about 5 games if he starts poorly. I think Rohl, like RVN was, is favoured because there is still a lot unknown about him and as fans, we fill in those unknowns with a lot of hope. I'd prefer someone who has a history of getting promoted, as I think if we dwell in the Championship for more than 1 or 2 seasons, then we may be stuck down here for a years. I will support him though and hope he has the impact Maresca did, as his unknowns were filled with genuine success.

Don't you have to get permission to talk to a Manager before entering agreements?

Latest theory is that RVN is due to go July 1st with Dyche lined up, hence why it has been pretty quiet on all fronts. Dyche will get us promoted, but it won’t be pretty.

They would have announced this already if he was staying. He will be gone as soon as we pass this dumb accounting deadline.

I actually think Dyche would turn us down. He will pick up a Premier League job around December and not have to deal with the mess we have become. I suspect we will end up with a very dull appointment that is out of work and grateful to get this opportunity.. i.e Carrick

So people are keen on Brian Barry Murphy because there is barely any Managerial experience to pull him apart on? Apart from getting Rochdale relegated to League 2? Gotcha

as ridiculous as that sounds, it is probably true. What a mess of a club we have become.

Carrick? Oh dear. He will keep us a Championship side for as long as he is here. Completely mediocre in everything he does.

That's my point. The opposition in the Championship are a big drop from the Premier League, and so even players like Vestergaard look decent. I think as long as we keep hold of the core of our squad and add a striker and pair of CB's, then we should really be pushing for a top 4 finish.

I genuinely forgot he existed the last few months. What an absolute shambles of a signing.

How much did he cost? ... I know. Just wanted to laugh/cry again.

He is a brilliant Championship midfielder, but I wonder if he has burned that bridge already and we are best taking what we can get for him. I'd be happy either way to be honest. We have bigger issues at CB and desperately need a striker.

Expect he will be sacked this week, unless there is some dumb financial reason for keeping him on until a certain date.

Despite all the negativity, do you think he will get us promoted though? I want out this division first, and he did that only 12 months ago, and I actually thought Leeds were a better squad than yours, along with ours. Ipswich were the slight surprise but fully deserved. Personally, despite his style, I think he will still get the players on board quickly, as they all seemed to like Enzo's approach. I also think many forget how poor the Championship is, and so we will likely still have one of the best starting 11's once we clear out some deadwood and sign a striker and some CBs. I am saying this as it is almost inevitable he is coming, not because I am advocating for it. He must have got some things right to have a 25 game unbeaten streak and get you promoted with the 3rd highest goals scored etc.

Must admit, I thought this would have been a better signing than it has turned out to be. He has been pretty pants throughout. Seems like a popular player and has leadership qualities, but I don't even want him in the Championship. I can't think of anything he does well on the pitch. He can go along with Faes and Vestergaard. Give Okoli a chance with Nelson, and bring in two more CB's in the window. Not sure on Souttar though, maybe if we struggle to get the other two in.

Sounds like he is staying. Please stay fit. If so, will be brilliant in the Championship. We need to sort out our CB's though.
