  1. Sub = below Occ = occipital Subocciptal muscles in the neck I know it's probably way off but as a (ex) medic, that's what came to my mind. I imagine it's more likely to be some kind of corporate/HR lingo.

  3. Getting older... Why Does Aging Affect Sleep? It is common for older adults to experience changes in the quality and duration of their sleep. Many of these changes occur due to changes in the body’s internal clock. Located in a part of the brain called the hypothalamus, this internal clock is made of around 20,000 cells that form the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN). The SCN controls 24-hour daily cycles, called circadian rhythms. These circadian rhythms influence when people get hungry, when the body releases certain hormones, and when a person feels sleepy or alert. As people get older, their sleep changes due to effects of an aging SCN. Deterioration in the function of the SCN can disrupt circadian rhythms, directly influencing when people feel tired and alert.
  4. This is me post-retirement. Get up for a pee about 7am, back to bed, listen to people going to work. Lie in/snooze/sleep till I feel like doing some toast or scrambled eggs. Usually around 10am. Even better now the mornings are chilly. Gone are the 4:30 alarms to be at work for 6.

  6. And now? Getting cold?
  7. Yes. Cab over engine suits our roads. The first pic is a rigid, BTW, the American one is clearly an Artic (NOT ARCTIC ) or, as they call them, semi's. Maybe because the drivers have one as they haul along the Murican Haahways, y'all.
  8. Rednecks love trucks But the first pic is an unfair comparison. There are some fantastic looking, big, customised British trucks. The UK regs on truck length inhibits the use of the likes of Kenworth's tractor units, the whole combo of unit and trailer can't be longer than Gov regs so hauliers generally go for longer trailers and shorter cab units for obvious reasons. 9. Bloomin' chilly today/tonight, though
  10. What is your sausage of choice? Personally, "bonfire" sausages from The Malt Kilns, Stretton Under Fosse. For anyone in the Hinckley/Lutterworth catchment, well worth a visit. https://g.co/kgs/HrKTqdN

  12. I'm gonna cut and paste this in the Cooper Out topic
  13. A few times recently I have seen (foreign) trucks in that lane then having to shift over to the correct 1st lane once on the M69. Chaos ensues.
  14. Well, back in the day...
  15. That's fantastic. Unfortunately I probably won't be around when they come into service, if ever. Imagine being a passenger and part of the wings. Imagine being the pilots flying it. Imagine the technological limits being broken.
  16. You'll be so much warmer when the flue catches fire.
  17. Do you think that would really happen? We go down with Cooper, we stay down.
  18. But not by the margin some were predicting on here. Idiots suggesting it would be double figures. I'll take two goals in open play against Arsenal. However, that's not in any way a defence of Cooper and his tactics or his weird substitutions when we were level.
  19. 1) It's not. 2) It won't.
  20. Actually I have a duplex kidney which means I have 3 . (one kidney is split into 2)
  21. Did he have the other kidney? There's nickname in that somewhere.
