  1. Ultra-high-temperature processing (UHT) of milk involves heating for 1–8 sec at 135–154Β°C. Aseptic packaging of UHT milk produces a shelf-stable product. Aseptic packaging involves placing a sterile product in a sterile package. Google is the brainiac although I posted my reply before I searched. And I wasn't far off. Still tastes crap though πŸ˜•
  2. Erm... its heated to a ultra high temperature to kill bacteria before it's then rapidly chilled before any new bacteria can form then it goes to supermarkets etc in chilled trailers usually, AFAIK, within 24 hours of the herd being milked. How it's heated ???
  3. Why? because they know that much of the flying public will be twats and ignore the rules so better to provide a safe way of extinguishing your ciggy rather than trying to flush it where it might clog... Actually, I dunno...

  6. It's just you.
  7. Armstrong deliberately stepped across the defender instead of trying finish and in doing so attempted to draw the foul to win a penalty. Ref got it right IMO. I don't care what head stamper Shearer has to say.
  8. Almost every Amazon delivery van I see has damage to one or more body panels. I can kind of see that it happens as drivers are rushed, inexperienced, delivering to some fairly difficult places to access etc. But yesterday I saw a van that had the panel above the windscreen entirely dented in. I can only imagine it's been driven under some height restricting barrier. I wonder if there's any sanctions for drivers that cause damage? Maybe @tom27111 might know.

  10. Went to the Woodman's Stroke in Rothley on Friday. I haven't been there for over 30 years. What a lovely place. Although the ham egg and chips is a little expensive:
  11. I wish we had Crackerbarrel here in the UK. That said, I guess it wouldn't be the same as it is in Florida.
  12. Keep up
  13. The proles: β€œHigh” tea combined snacks and a hearty meal and was usually served at about 6pm. This eventually evolved into the lower classes calling their midday meal β€œdinner” and their evening meal β€œtea”, while the upper classes called their midday meal β€œlunch” and referred to the evening meal as β€œdinner”.
  14. Wow. Brilliant piece.

  16. And switch to granny Smiths
  17. 4 posts in and he's been on the sauce. Doesn't bode well.
  18. My son phoned me to tell me he had just qualified as a barrister. I was so proud. Turns out he is working at Starbucks.
  19. I ordered a "California Dreaming" salad today. I sent it back. All the leaves were brown.
  20. I've just finished 7 marathons in 7 days. Or Snickers, as they're called now.

  22. I opened a birthday card this morning and a load of rice fell out. It was from Uncle Ben.
