  2. Correct and he's not a motivational presence. Who would come in that would be, with this bunch? From Cooper, then RvNB now this guy, none of them seem to ever have a happy face. They've all been dull and uninspiring. When you compare these 3 to Claudio Ranieri and his motivational enthusiasm in his best years here, they are mere shadows. You could see it in the way the team performed, they were "in love" with CR and gave all they could because he motivated them and they believed in him.
  3. Do people think The man-baby cares about style of play? He doesn't give a flying Feck about this club. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that he is using us to park money away from Thailand and KP itself. Just who is this Monika person? Was there an interview process? If he had an ounce of loyalty to the club he'd be completely differently involved in pretty much everything we do. He just doesn't care. I imagine he shoves all the responsibility and decision making onto the board and goes along with whatever decisions they come to and obviously that includes the DoF. Back on topic, yes MC hasn't shown he's anything better than Cooper, and he was rank. If anything MC is worse. Cooper had to try to keep us in the PL. But he was so out of his depth as was RvN but this is a league lower and he still doesn't cut it. I was quite enthused when he got appointed. Now, I want this incompetent individual moved out. I'm not going to insult him as some do on here by calling him names but he needs to man up, realise he's in above his skill level and resign. The board or the owners won't be decisive because they're weak and/or disinterested. And he'll keep taking the money. And we'll watch and suffer as a result.
  4. Can't afford him. IMO.
  5. Appropriate for Christmas.
  6. And when he does find out he'll go, "meh, ok", shrug his shoulders and get on with whatever he's fecking about at.
  7. Are you serious?
  8. Well, not literally
  9. QPR have clearly singled out Thomas as a weak link as all their play is down their right.
  10. I'm quite pleased that Kylie made the Christmas number 1 above Mariah Carey (can't bear her voice or her songs) and Wham. TBH I'm pretty fed up with same old regurgitated and repeated Christmas songs that get churned out over and over every year on every mainstream radio and supermarket "radio" channel.
  11. I'm going to have that on my headstone
  12. That is genius.
  13. STOP HIM, HE'S INSANE!! But no one will. 'Cos they're scared of him. Ultimate power, he has it. And that's a worry for all of us. There must be an element in his government that see what we see, but they're so afraid of the consequences of speaking out that they stay silent. And the end result is that DT dictates all of everything. Is there any historical precedent for his style of leadership? Absolutely there is.
  14. My Brother in Law, Ian Neale, passed away to a brain tumour this week. Not famous, not really remembered, but he represented GB gymnastics in the 1976 Montreal Olympics. He didn't get among the medals despite his best efforts. He did achieve European and other international success in gymnastics competitions and we have several trophies the reflect this. Nobody on here will know of him. He was granted the freedom of Coventry ( I know) as a result of his achievements. He was well known as a competitor and then a coach for the GB gymnastics team. Just a small mention for someone who achieved quite a bit, albeit relatively unknown. If you're mildly interested: RIP, Ian. ian neale gymnast - Google Search
  15. Hinckley needs this to succeed. The town's social life is dire, particularly for younger people.
  16. I've lost strength and some mobility due to issues with my lumbar spine after years of lifting fat old (and young) people down their stairs and into and out of the ambulances before the days of ramps and lifting equipment that is around now. It takes me about 48hrs to get full mobility back after being in goal at 5 a side for an hour. I don't dive around anymore but the physical activity takes it's toll. In my head I'm still the goalkeeper I was back in my 20's. Now, if I drop to the floor to make a save, it takes a a while to get back up and I sometimes have to use the frame of the goal as a support.
  17. I turned 70 a couple of weeks ago but I certainly don't feel it. I'm pretty fit physically and mentally although it takes me longer to recover from any exertion, ( I still take part in weekly 5 a side games) but in my mind I'm still about 25. Fortunately I don't have any health concerns and I seem to have inherited my dad's longevity. He lived to 91. It's weird because I feel like I should be decrepit, but I suppose that's because, during my working life, I met so many that were decrepit and ill at my age. Obviously I never came across those that were generally fit and well. I don't know how to age, if that makes sense. I feel like I should feel as old as I am but I don't. Don't get me wrong, I like being well and relatively fit but, in my head I still can't get past being the 25 year old me .
  18. Nah. She just looks like she did.
  19. Yuk. No. The driest bird I've ever met Gammon joint and a nice mature beef joint cooked well with home made red wine reduction gravy. Anything moist and tender....
  20. I agree to a point, however this is not causing death by reckless driving, nobody died. It's not conspiracy to murder. There was no conspiracy as he was a solo operator. It can't be attempted murder as there was no premeditation. It can't be manslaughter as no one was killed. IMO 21 years seems harsh given his outright guilty plea but, as you say, there could be some sentence weighting by the judge for the Liverpool "effect". I wonder if there's a precedent for sentencing on a case like this.
  21. I enjoyed the first series having really got into the game on the PS.
  22. Annual Rag week was great for students back in the day.
  23. You've got wood and you'd rail her?
  24. Not quite an airhead but certainly a Trump sycophant.
