  1. I’ve seen multiple people talk about the Leicester project. The Leicester project is keeping us in the division on a shoestring and maybe getting us back into the top half in a couple of seasons then unlikely but maybe fighting to get us back into the top 6. The Chelsea project is having hundreds of millions to spend and fighting for the premier league and then champions league. Timing is everything in football and these opportunities rarely offer themselves (maybe not so rare in the case of Chelsea) but you only have to have 1 bad season at Leicester and suddenly you’re not as hot a prospect to these top clubs as you were the year before, or maybe a manager from another league pulls off an incredible season like Alonso at Leverkusen and suddenly he’s the one Chelsea want. To be headhunted directly from the championship to one of the biggest and richest clubs in the country, you’d be mad to turn that down. IMO If Chelsea offer Enzo a contract he will be off down the road before we can even wave goodbye to him.
  2. Wouldnt mind getting Richard Hughes in if Top ever sees the light and sacks Rudkin. Did a great job at FGR with Rob Edwards as manager, left FGR and they've collapsed, whilst he took over at Portsmouth and is again doing a great job there, seems to understand the game well.
  3. I don't think it would work in the premier league, but a manager to watch for sure.
  4. Tbh I feel like Moyes would keep us up even with a 6 point deduction, he has a knack for signing cheap reliable players. Got a few wrong but everyone does, did a fantastic job at West Ham. Football might not be the most exciting but I've no doubt he could keep us up.
  5. How much damage has been dealt to the reputation of ETH do people think? Seems inevitable he's gone unless he can win the FA Cup, if he loses and is sacked, what sort of club do you think would take him? Spent a LOT of money at United and half of the signings have been quite hit and miss. Martinez missing plenty of games, Casemiro is hot and cold every week, Amrabat was an awful signing, Antony is one of the biggest flops we've seen as of now, worst league finish in the premier league era, and the same old mistakes every week. Does he walk straight back into a top club?
  6. Yeah I'd love Blanc, but as you say it's a risk, he has not managed here but also will his reputation be damaged by coming to a Leicester City who are likely going to get deductions and don't have a big budget. Is it worth the risk for him? I'd imagine he could probably join a top 8 club in Italy/Spain/France/Germany. Would be a hell of a coup if we could convince him though, the premier league is still a huge draw.
  7. Stability with a points deduction is key here, I'd take drab football for a couple of seasons to keep us up, sign some cheapish players and get the team running through brick walls. Moyes has done a phenomenal job, even if the football has been boring.
  8. In no particular order and for a multitude of reasons Urs Fischer Graham Potter (Doubt he would come, seems to be linked with far bigger jobs recently) David Moyes Steve Cooper Danny Rohl Ruud Van Nistelrooy Lucien Favre Giovanni Van Bronckhorst Kieran Mckenna Mark Robins Steve Cooper Will Still Laurent Blanc (seriously doubt he would come)
  9. We need a testimonial. Get the statue ready. Name a stand after him. Have a fantastic retirement Claudio, and thanks for the greatest moment of our lives.
  10. You're probably right, and 17 appearances is nothing to sniff at, it would make sense to give him another 15+ next season, but who knows, possibly Slot comes in and wants to bring some experience in. We can only hope those sorts of players become available for loan as it would suit us perfectly, would also suit the loan clubs as they know we will give them game time as we won't be signing many players you wouldn't have thought.
  11. I'm going to be really pissed off if Mckenna goes to Brighton and Potter goes to another club, then Enzo/We decide weeks after that we need to part ways and we start talking about which firefighter is going to get us out of this points deduction relegation scrap. It would be typical Leicester City to let Potter and Mckenna go and we end up with Big Sam. (Though I don't think Potter would come here as I expect he will be wanted by bigger clubs) If Enzo is going, GO NOW, if he's 100% committed, he needs to tell the board his demands or GO. We really can't afford to have the club held to ransom by b-rate journalists who are in with the boss. The club need to be flexible or ruthless, one of the two.
  12. I wonder if Arne Slot would fancy loaning out Jarrel Quansah? 17 appearances for Liverpool this season and he’s looked like a really good ball playing defender. Maybe Arne Slot wants to come in and not take many risks as he wants to have the best start possible.
  13. He's definitely got more creativity, but KDH is nowhere near where Henderson was for Liverpool.
  14. Given the wage he was on and our financial situation, I felt at the start of the season that the club should have tried to speak about a mutual termination, 70-80k a week in the championship is obviously ludicrous. I’m so glad we didn’t, we’ve been thoroughly let down by the likes of Kel and Patson, and Vardys goals are the difference between us going up automatically and slotting it out in the playoffs. He’s been absolutely integral and he’s clearly got more to offer. Can he do it in the top flight again? Who knows but if we can afford an extension we should. If he feels he wants a new challenge having secured promotion then the Serie A would make much more sense given the slower nature of the league, and I hope he goes there and keeps them up should he decide that’s what he wants. He has to be in the conversation for the greatest ever Leicester player. I know we have some amazing record holders, but the modern game is just so much more difficult and he proved himself one of the most lethal strikers the premier league has ever seen. Sad if it comes to an end but it has to eventually. He needs a statue.
  15. I think 7 years is long enough for a player to leave a lasting legacy at a club, or even write their names as club legends, or at the very least notable players that fans can boast played for them. After 7 years it’s quite telling that the vast majority of fans are wishing him well but really don’t care either way that he’s going. His record on paper is great as we can see a few posts up, and his purple patches were fantastic and helped us out in multiple crunch periods, but ultimately it just felt like he often couldn’t be bothered and was just waiting for a bigger club to come in. Shame really, was fully expecting him to rip this league up, but half of the time I watched him he was just walking about even when we were chasing. It’s just been stale for multiple seasons now, it could have been so much more. Thanks for the memories Kel.
  16. So unless I’m missing something, 33 championship matches in charge, 47 points since he took over, 1.42points per match. Over a 46 game season he would be on for 65 points. 9th with a League 1 squad bar maybe 3-4 players.
  17. I think given they’ve been down in the bottom 3 all season most fans won’t have really understood what’s going on at that club, most won’t even know who was there at the start of the season and know that Danny took over in one of the worst positions I’ve ever seen someone recover from. The job he’s done there is incredible. If we had stayed down and Wednesday went down also, I’d not hesitate to give Danny a crack at us. They had a bit of a blip and they’ve thrown some games away, but for him to come in with Wednesday what 10 points adrift from safety or was it more? With genuine league 1 quality squad and to pull them together and rally the fans around him, spectacular work.
  18. Danny Rohl has to be in the mix for manager of the season. What a job!
  19. I’ve heard about the “Player only meeting” called by Vardy, but I’ve not listened to the interview yet, was it sanctioned by Enzo or just Vardy just take it upon himself? I wonder if anything was discussed beyond what Albrighton said. I would maybe doubt there was anything malicious towards Enzo as the players seem to like him. I just really don’t think it’s a good thing that they needed a player only meeting to discuss what it means to the club etc etc.
  20. He achieved what I expected us to achieve, so well done and thanks for getting us up. We got over the line eventually and that’s all that matters now, we could very well have been financially destroyed if we had failed. Really wish he didn’t gamble the future of the club on his system when it was clear we needed to shake things up during games etc, but that’s by the by now. I hope he gets an offer at a bigger club with the money to build, unfortunately we cannot afford to rebuild with Enzo and even if we could I don’t trust Rudkin to bring in the players needed to make it work. Thanks for promotion, but I hope he walks. it’s frustrating because I do really like the bloke I enjoy listening to him most of the time, but IMO he will never make it to the top unless he completely reverts on his stubbornness and learns to be more pragmatic.
  21. If that’s me getting carried away I must come round yours for a wild night on the shandy’s 😂 Yeah I think you’re right on the performances but I felt like he often just hasn’t fit what we are trying to do. I’m not sure possession football suits him at all
  22. He doesn’t have numbers in terms of goals and assists but he’s been professional this season and done what’s been asked of him, he’s played a simple game and often played it quite well. I know we’ve been in a situation where club and player needed to move on a couple of windows ago, but I do like Praet and I don’t think he’s done much wrong as a professional, it just sometimes felt like a square peg and a round hole. Hope the injury isn’t a bad one and hope to see him feature in the final games. I expect he will go on to another team in Europe and do okay.
  23. Has anyone got the "you've been fatawoo'd" meme handy?
  24. I'd need to watch the Mahrez goal back, but I got flashbacks of a goal vs Blackpool in Fatawu's cut inside goal tonight
